Expeditionary Command Headquarters.

Since the King Of Kings arrived Friday, the admirals of the six remaining capital ship fleets of the Expeditionary Guard (Three have already arrived at the Ancerious Protectorate) met at the headquarters of Expeditionary Command in Tars' capital city of Dictate.
The six men talked animatedly.
Aligned on the left side of the table, were admirals Ectanus Tabla, Dirgard Mars and Joel Nouse.
Aligned on the right side of the table closest to the Madame Stateswoman Jaquelin Mass's seat was Uliye-David Al'lon. Son of Hermoses the Great, Jamal Titus and Bilak Drei.
The six men talked animatedly while they waited for the Stateswoman to arrive.
"We don't even know who we are dealing with here," Stated the much less experienced but higher ranking Uliye.
"Of course we do!" Retorted Bilak. "It explains what we all suspected. The massive coordinated attack was indeed this massive Immortal Empire and Atlantis. They are attacking everyone!"
Uliye was thinking. "If so, then why haven't the Immortal Empire responded to our negotiations for peace or rumors of war?" Uliye replied.
Then Ectanus jumped into the fray. "While we sit here and convene on who attacked us, citizens of this young republic are dying out there. The senate and representatives want answers in Amani Unus."
While Bilak put his head down to think, Uliye spoke up.
"Madame Stateswoman said that the Immortal Empire was reported among the agressors, but FCFs (First Contact Forces) couldn't get good radar signatures. They appeared small and garbled. Like stealth signatures. We can't be certain that a foreign empire we never heard of was behind the razing of our colonies. If so, why hadn't they claimed Praetor, or Libet'e; or Hao?"
Dirgard spoke up next.
"That's because Atlantis is pirating their stealth technology to foreign powers. Look, we know who's attacking us. That's what the Stateswoman said to us. I think she wants us to raze the enemy."
Joel and Jamal finally opened their mouths. "The Stateswoman is wrong at times too. In fact, that's why we are here. She says that a foreign power bordering our wealthy protectorates would want trade first before war. Who are we to say they'll attack us!"
"Look, you fool!" Retorted an angry Bilak.
"We know Atlantis is behind the attack. They said so themselves. But before we get to rash and refuse to save our assets and investments in the Protectorates, maybe we should fend them off!"
"That's what I'm here to decide, Bilak." Returned a newly arrived stately woman.
The pretty black haired Hispanic looking stateswoman sat at the head of the six larger men with her right hand over her chin. She was thinking.
"Intel suggests that the Leget Dantarim fought against a cylindrical shaped ship with massive weapons on her front."
She spoke up.
Five of the generals balked. Their jaws hanging open.
"Madame Stateswoman," started Uliye.
"Who's behind these attacks?"
"Ground forces say that Atlantis is definitely among the aggressors."
Continued the Stateswoman. Seemingly ignoring Uliye's question.
She looked right at him through pretty pale orange eyes.
"I suggest we prepare the home fleets for an invasion. The Enemy Of All Nations has returned. Atlantis, gentlemen, has engaged us above enemy territory. They have massive numbers in Galactica neighboring Ancerious. Our spies in Galactica report a massive fleet of cylindrical and triangular shaped ships spotted throughout deep space. Traders have been attacked and pleasure ships too.
No other foreign power would waste resources on an unarmed ship unless they have a deep seated hatred of us." She frowned.
"So... uhm...." Bilak was in a shock.
"What do we do now, Madame Stateswoman?"
Asked Joel.
"We apologize to our allies for seeking assistance against the Immortal Empire, and send an envoy of peace to them - if they wish. That's the right thing to do. But the Senate and Representation would have to agree to it. Gentlemen. Get to your ships and prepare for war. Ancerious is no longer our primary concern. We must defend the home land."
As the men got up from their seats, passing the stateswoman; each admiral saluted her out with a stiff fist bump to the chest followed by a handshake.
Jaquelin knew that she had sent three capital ships into the deep to recover the Protectorates at Libert'e, Hao and Praetor. Those colonies were fine.
What she didn't know, was that she might have triggered a massive two front war. Thinking on the latter thought, Jaquelin got up from her seat and walked over to the lone Proatorian Guard. Her secret service protection. "Take me to the Communications array." She said.

The speech was a short, tense apology.
The cramped room was unceremonious for a widely popular leader and many people throughout the country. Soldiers and citizens alike. Many of whom believed the rumors that a foreign empire unknown even by name as the Immortal Empire, attacked their protectorate.
They all stopped whatever they were doing to hear the apology.
"Just a week ago our Ancerious protectorate was attacked by what we all thought were foreign forces aligned with Atlantis.
It is clear to me now, that I've made a grave mistake in aligning our forces against a foreign power seeking to destroy us."
She took a deep breath. and continued her speech.
"It is very clear that our true enemy was and has always been Atlantis. Now I know this because no reports of any other ground forces were known to have been engaged. No other communications system was identified.
The enemy we are facing is bigger, stronger and far more fanatical than I thought previously. And in the height of arrogance, I assumed another more advanced power was responsible for this attack and sought help against them.
To my allies, I apologize deeply. To the empire we now know as the Immortal Empire; I apologize from my heart. With the information I now know, we will no longer be waging hostile actions against this empire or the fleets it may send towards us.
As for Atlantis, I am asking that our allies stand by. We may be asking for assistance in our war with Atlantis.
To add to their list of crimes against civilization; I feel that Atlantis must know and taste the defeat they have brought on us time and again.
With that, I am formally asking for the National Assembly to declare hostile actions against Atlantis and send an envoy of peace to the Immortal Empire with our sincerest regards.
Thank you, and I hope you all enjoy the peace while it lasts. I know I will."
The cameras cut off, as Jaquelin walked off the hastily prepared podium.
"Ma'am," asked a woman near her. "What will happen now?"
Jaquelin looked at her. "It's in the Assembly's hands now." She said.
"Madame Stateswoman." Started the Proatorian Guard. "Where too now?"
"Home." Replied Jaquelin. "Home to Phoinikes. To Costellon."
