Event Horizon: Shadowblade space
Viris sat in a wide room on a station above the fortified planet Event Horizon, holographic scrolls glowing red and extending upwards from the floor just below the platform she sat on, a neural uplink inserted into her wrist. She spent much of the day here, keeping up with the high-priority reports of scouts and patrols, news from the IO, and sometimes suspicious low-level reports from around Ancerious. Two Varrisk clones stood guard, motionless, next to the door. Viris turned her head slightly, getting the message that at least one Capitol ship was inbound via FTL to the system. The neural uplink detached itself, and slid back into the terminal on the floor. She then stood up, not grabbing onto a single support while standing from her criss-crossed position as her armguard sealed itself. She turned and grabbed her helmet as she walked out of the door, not having to say a word to the clones standing eight feet tall and resolute by the door who turned and followed her out. A few minutes later, they walked out of the elevator and out of the high security zone of the station, and an intercom system spoke announcements and orders in a monotone robotic voice into the station, as soldiers and workers walked in organized groups around the exterior zones, docks and umbilical’s extending out of the station, visible through the large, five-meter-thick starship grade glass.
"Ma'am" One of the clones finally spoke. "How long is their ETA?".
"Five seconds from now." Viris said, as they watched through the pane.
A few seconds later the giant form of Her Will appeared at the edge of system, the huge super carriers hull gleaming in the long distant stars light. Aboard Empress Inara sat on the command chair, surrounded by Hydra Guard and overseeing the working of the ship. She activated the ships com array "This is Empress Inara, I am here to meet with your leader, I request an audience ASAP. It is crucial we speak soon. Inara out" The message away she waited, she had enough of waiting... She wanted her plans in motion and soon.
At the traffic control AI's control housing, several men waited at terminals to relay the commands from the AI unit housed within a large vertical tube behind them. One of them spoke;
"Capitol ship 'Her Will', you are permitted to move to co-ordinates being transmitted to you now and then send a ferrying shuttle. We do not currently have any docks large enough to house your ship available." He said, not caring much who he may be speaking to, as he never got to hear the transmissions anyways.
"The hangar you are to land in is in the co-ordinates package." he said, emotionless.
The helmsman of the supercarrier acknowledged the signal and plotted a course, taking the large ship along the designated route and parking the vessel close to the orbital above the world. Inara herself dressed in her regular uniform made her way along with her guards to one of the gigantic hangar bays. Boarding the bulky and squarelike shuttle its engines roared as it made its way out of the ship. Looking somewhat unimpressed Inara observed the world below, better they helped her in her cause than have to be subjugated, but she knew SB… they would help her. The shuttle came in at the co ordinates and Inara unbuckled herself, the guards forming up around her in case of ambush.
When the shuttle's doors opened, there was only a small amount of people in the hangar, no major commotion. There was Viris, the two Varrisk clones, and a handful of shadowblade soldiers on the other three's flanks.
"Welcome to Event Horizon, Empress Inara." Viris said, as the Capitol personell walked down the ramp to the hangar floor. "You said that it was crucial we speak, so if you would, please follow me to one of the meeting rooms." She said, then turning and walking towards a door directly across the hall from the hangar. The two Varrisk clones bowed their heads downward, and extending the arms closer to Viris towards her, gesturing for Inara to follow. Viris then spoke again;
"If it is truly important, then you can decide whether to bring your men." Viris said, as she looked back at Inara from the hangar door and waited for her to follow.
Inara turned to the Hydra guards and nodded for them to stay, she had a weapon and was more than capable of handling herself should she need to evacuate. She walked over to Viris, in a strong walking posture and spoke "Lead the way, I would wish to get this over and discussed soon" She said letting Viris guide her to the room.
Viris simply walked across the hall, people going through the hallways halting as the two went into the meeting room. As the door opened, it revealed a bland, white-walled room with a rectangular table in the middle surrounded with swivel chairs and topped with tablets disconnected from the SSB network, instead displaying a simple background able to open documents from connected drives and the like.
"Please, sit anywhere you like." Viris said, as she sat down at the seat directly to the right from the door, before leaning her elbows on the table and
Inara sat down and immediately began “Shadowblade have been close to Capitol for these years, especially to my predecessor Emperor Garren. You stood by us and us you when we were establishing ourselves in this galaxy and are currently shedding blood on Tau Volaris together. However I wish to request your aid once again. There are many forces in this galaxy which would see us destroyed. And many of them are banding together as we speak. However, Capitol has advanced and expanded to become a very potent force under my command, with your added help we can strike them before this becomes an issue. As we speak here I have representatives allying with the factions of Hjermslamdare and the once enemy Immortal Empire, my father was a fool for fighting a potential ally. Along with this… we have a much more powerful ally coming, and I wish my plan to be in full motion by the time they arrive to help us. I wish to ask will Shadowblade join with us in this plan”
Viris contemplated it for a few moments before a sly smirk was slightly visible through the translucent material of her mask's lower half.
"Straight, true, and to the point with this one. I never liked the extended polotics anyways. I accept your proposition. Though, i do ask if i will still hold full command over my own fleets other than a contingent to put towards any joint fleets we may deem worthy to muster?"
Inara nodded "Of course, my people once diplomacy is sorted will begin making probing strikes into many of this galaxies nations. Gauge their responses and then strike whichever is weakest, build up or forces somewhat show that we are no longer a nuisance. Then we will strike them directly with our full might. And when our allies arrive like that promised... all will be complete" She grinned.
"I do expect we will have a meeting at some point to discuss these matters in more detail? Though I don't like attending droning political meetings, I don't like vague details either." Viris questioned, interested yet wanting to get some more details before the plan began to roll.
Inara leant her chin on her hands with elbows on the table "The allies have had their time in this galaxy, there are forces making their way here which will help us claim this place, forces which the allies do not understand. A rep of which will be attending a small meeting which I aim to set up soon, fear not we will have support"
"Very well, I will trust your promises. It does seem you have thought it through, so again, I will trust your words. Though I will also say again, you are being quite vague about this. You usually don't act so when discussing plans and the like, which also gives all the more reason to trust you." Viris said with a smirk, her head tilted in interest.
"I can reveal more when I am deemed it appropriate. You will meet our allies soon enough, just be ready for the signal. I came here to discuss this in person because any communication may be watched or intercepted. Plans are in motion which will change this galaxy. Unfortunately I have a busy schedule and must be going now" Inara said standing up and nodding to Viris "It is good to know another is willing to accept and support the future of Ancerious"
Viris stood and bowed her head slightly in respect;
"Understandable. Good luck to you, and what plans you have in store." She said, opening the door, as the traffic halted to allow Inara across the hall and to the hangar. the two Varrisk clones haad positioned themselves at the meeting room's door, and the shadowblade soldiers had remained in position, guarding the shuttle. Viris nodded her head as she extended her arm towards the shuttle.
Inara started to board the shuttle and turned to Viris smiling "Good luck to us all" She saluted the Shadowblade commander and boarded the shuttle. It taking off with another roar and returning her to the Super carrier. As the massive ship made its way out of system Inara retired to her quarters.
“They are supporting us, I told you Shadowblade would aid our cause” Inara said pouring herself a drink.
”Good. I was afraid that I would have to kill that women you were with if she had attacked you. But no matter, they have black hearts, and will be instrumental in the events to come.”
Inara nodded “Indeed, I will begin sending the scout fleets out and wait for the diplomacy with the others to finish before engaging or committing or any large battles” as she turned to the sleek women standing at the window.
”Do not forget Empress, Tau Volaris is still a priority”
