Captain Aleharain stood on the bridge of the Tenebrean aldebaran class battleship where it hung in orbit around Tau volaris. Looking down through the wide viewport of the captain’s nest. The battles below highlighted by the HUD interface in the viewports ultra hardened crystal pane. Looking down at the icons that represented allied forced, and the icon-marked regions that represented the rebel controlled forces and regions.
The crew of the bridge above him at work maintaining their stations, and the systems they interfaced with through them, Their V.E.A. units aural based interface systems letting their conscious minds meld seamlessly with the ships Entity’s to bring battle damaged systems back online and restore power back to damaged areas.
Others maintained contact with the commanders on the hanger docks, briefing them with updated information on rebel troop movements and allied landing zones gained from cross referenced communications from the allies to relay to their troops, along with data packets of Generated rebel movements produced by the ships intelligence Entities.
Compressed H.U.D. displays of Dozens of projected movements of enemy men and troops. Applied to the field based on live intelligence networks, with additional movements and suggested counters recommended by the Entity clusters that were added to the data packets that were sent to their V.E.A. units.
The rahdonah took part in none of this presently, although his eyes seemed somewhat distant as he observed the planet below. The Spartan landing zones passing under his line of vision as the ships high-level orbit carried it near their general zone. The ships main entity, “his entity, its aural link to him allowing for perfect synchronization and integration into the ships systems and network. Showing him Statistics updates and battlefield reports as they updated.
The Flotilla had launched several hundred small intelligence satellites and relays as they entered the system with the rest of the allied fleets. Their entities listening in on many of the communications channels and relays updates and signals to them as they came.
As a result, they were mostly up to date on the state of the movements of the other fleets remaining ships and ground troops.
“Captain?” The ships entity inquired to him. Appearing in its dragon-like form, resting slightly on the display monolith in the center of the small chamber that served as the captain’s nest.
“Yes” The rahdonah asked turning slightly, his tail swaying slowly in thought.
“We have received information from the orbital’s beacon systems. It will be in optimal boarding position within the hour.” It said, pausing as it let him take the information in. “The wraiths are ready to deploy once it comes within range.
“Very good. Update their briefing and tell them lethal force against the aggressors on the orbital is authorized.” Aleharain said, leaving his place by the window and moving over to the display monolith.
“What’s the situation on our drop units and their “Storm bolt” unit?” he asked.
“They’re nearly fully prepped, Drop units and the “Storm bolt” unit are receiving final preparations in the hanger.” The entity replied in its song-like voice.
“And the ships state?” the rahdonah asked, bringing up a cross sectioned schematic of the ship, several of the damaged zones outlined on the display, with new information filing in on the state of repairs.
“Damaged by close proximity fire” The entity responded “Shields are down by 60% and are being brought back on-line, Several turrets and tallum batteries were damaged as well, the entities are working with Technicians to Rectify the damage.”
“How long until we receive re-enforcements out here?”
“A Tenebris solar day at the most. Situations concerning military occupations have prompted a deal of military pre-occupation. A second flotilla should be prepped to arrive soon if we require it.” The entity responded, its projected form stepping down from the monolith.
The Rahdonian captain contemplated this.
“Good.” He said after a few moments of thought. “Contact the Spartan command with the new fleet that arrived. If they have a route down, I want our troops following them to secure some ground. We’ll send down the “Storm bolt” Nearby to clear a path for our own base camp… I want to discuss further strategic developments with them..”
“Affirmative” the entity said, shifting slightly as it simultaneously followed through with his orders. Seeking a relay to establish a comm.-link with the Spartan fleet in orbit.
“Excellent. See to it that we get up to speed with them. We’re late to deploy. And i want the situation on the orbitals stabilized, we need that shuttle fleet under our command, otherwise we'll have to keep relying on targetable devices to hold the cloud layers back in order to get troops down to the surface. “ The Rahdonian captain said. Placing his clawed hands on the monolith, the schematic of the ship morphing into an orbital map of the planet below, the finer details obscured by the storm systems that covered its surface. The spherical map flattening itself out into a modified layout of the planets surface. The altitudes’ of individual orbits highlighted above it, troop drop sites highlighted with their respective icons and dome locations identified, data relays going from each one to the others, the Carnaith controlled dome curiously dark.
He zoomed the map in towards the region of the Spartan drop zone, looking for a potential drop site as the com-links to the human factions command was established.
They would be dropping late. But they would make sure it would have an effect when they did..
