Salimivit - Fureskina - Sallag System - Furrelian Union
The tensions in the galaxy had been rising for a while, the Furrelians had known that. Some strategists and analysts had predicted a large-scale conflict to happen within the next two decades, but Yog-Narr’s return had poured in the foundations of war, and the walls were being erected already. It was inevitable by now, two alliances with the only goal to destroy the other had been founded, peace at this point seemed impossible to preserve. As the galaxy leaned closer and closer to total war, the Furrelian Union’s governing body, and by extension the Katharian Protectorates one, were called into an emergency meeting. Seven Furrelians and four Katharians had been raced across the galaxy to the capital of the Union in Ancerious, a tropical planet by the name of Fureskina. By the time the final Katharian delegate arrived, it was already deep in the night, but still, the meeting happened. The building being used to host it, the Osinat Salimivit was the house of representatives in the Ancerium sector and was a large complex on an isolated island.
“The situation is going downhill, fast. Everyone is stopping with their Ancerium trades to other nations, just so that they can try to keep themselves afloat. We have had to cut eighty-five per cent of our original Ancerium exports, only keeping those to the Protectorate, Ingen, Babylon and TIERZ open, but in a limited capacity.” Talismit Kinadema, Head of Economics of the Ancerious Sector, said, bringing out a dark report. The lack of Ancerium brought desperation to the galaxy, and the economist was not hiding that fact.
“We thank the Union for their Economic support, the Protectorate is repairing itself with your help, but we are barely in shape to fight a war. The Katharian Naval Defence Service can get its first full fleet up in two months, and the Katharian Will should be fully reinforced in three. Before that, we can not fight.” Savona Naridoni, the Katharian Protectorate’s Head of Defence and a native Katharian, said. Before he had gained that position, he was the commanding officer of both the Katharian Squadron in the Furrelian Seventh Fleet and the Force of Katharian Will, a paramilitary unit that had been transformed into the backbone of the Katharian army. The Katharian armed forces, though smaller than the Furrelian ones, have proved during joint exercises to be capable of fighting, the Katharian fleet consisting of Furrelian ships for the most part, with upgraded ex-GDAN ships making up everything larger than a Battlecruiser.
“Militarily, we are ready for a war for the most part. Solar Flare is almost finished, and the Wrath of Sallag is being retrofitted to Block V. The FDS can provide more than six thousand ships, including the KNDS we have eight thousand. However, with Ancerium shortages only up to two-thousand ships can be deployed outside of our space.” Another Furrelian said, his military uniform betraying his role as Head of Defence of the Furrelian Union, Kelodin Renedema said, with Tarodema, the main Admiral, nodding in approval of the message.
“We, however, do not know who we will be facing.” Tarodema said, taking a sip of his hot beverage. The group stayed silent until someone talked.
“Indeed, we do not. We will not stay neutral, that is impossible as our neutrality will not be Respected by either side.” Tyual Jessaio said. The Gryan Representative for the Ancerious sector, and the highest placed Furrelian in the entire Ancerious galaxy, looked around the table, deep in the eyes of six Furrelians and four Katharians.
“Neutrality is impossible. But, we are not sure if we will join the Native cause or the Colonial one. We are a Colonial, yes, but SAGA, and their Union of Worlds holds a grudge against us. We are under invalid sanctions, the Union of Worlds trying to stop us from defending ourselves. However, CONA does not have sanctions in place against us. We are not native to the galaxy, but unlike Ingen, we do not intervene with native politics. We will need to ask both the advantages of joining their side in this upcoming war and then we need to pick and fight. If there are any concerns, bring them up now.” Jessaio said. The room remained silent, and after a minute of silence, she continued.
“Then it is decided. We stay neutral for now, but will join in later on.”
FNNC Breaking News Report - Speech by Gryan Jessaio regarding rising tensions across Galaxy
In light of recent developments surrounding the Aedleshaven situation, Gryan Representative Tyual Jessaio is scheduled to hold a speech in the Osinat of Salimivit this morning. Furthermore, it is expected that Jessaio is to declare the stance of the Furrelian Union during what seems to be the buildup to a galactic war. She will be joined by Kelodin Renedema, Savona Naridoni and other members of the Cabinet…. [Read more]

Jessaio looked into the cameras. The room was packed up fully with reporters for many Furrelian and Katharian news agencies, even though they were all state-run. A large security detachment was near the stage she stood on to protect her. Behind her, the motto of the Furrelian Union and its flag stood most prominent. Green background, white lettering, gigantic banner: “For the State, everything moves”. Next to her stood members of the council of six, and those of the Katharian counterpart. She stood in the room, took a deep breath, and talked.
“My co-patriots, my comrades, my friends, Furrelians, Katharians and all others watching this! The galaxy is burning down towards war, one of never-before-seen size. There are tensions building up around Aedleshaven, with Corona even trying to occupy it with a fleet only lightyears away. Our nation will try to remain neutral in this upcoming war, though it might be difficult. Our nation has done nothing to provoke either an attack by the Coalition of Organised Nations of Ancerious or the Second Ancerious Galactic Alliance, and it would be in the interest of both sides to not attack us, either. However, if one of the two were to provoke us, stand assured, we will not stand for it. It can very well be that we will throw out our neutrality, to grab arms instead. This can happen tomorrow, this can happen next month, this can happen at the end of the year! Whenever it happens, know that we are ready! Those in every industry, be it either the computer development and manufacturing plants on Sotok, the Industrial mines of Junakoga, the shipyards of Osanot or any other, I speak to you. Continue your work! Develop the most advanced computers on this side of the Galaxy, mine out entire caves, build as many ships as you can! We can not be prepared enough! The soldiers of the Union and Protectorate are ready for any fight, as long as you, the Furrelian and Katharian people, continue your work!” Jessaio shouted across the room, the message being relayed live across the galaxy. Even though it was not even requested or needed, the journalists in the room started clapping, moved by pure patriotism alone.

Subject: Possibility of the Extention of Furrelian-Orillian Relations to Furrelian Membership of the Coalition of Organised Nations of Ancerious (CONA)
Dear and Honourable Exillos Gatrem,
The Furrelian Union and Orillian State have not held the most positive track record for their histories. For the most part, both ignored the others as a power on the other side of the Galaxy. However, with the recent rise in tensions caused by other Colonial powers, which the Furrelian Union has suffered from too, it is time to put these relations to the side.
The Furrelian Union is willing to, as long as some requests are debated on or met, join the Native cause and to join the Coalition of Organised Nations of Ancerious, from hereon referred to as the CONA. The Furrelian Union has never seen any native power as inferior to itself and has in fact never taken aggression against one. It sees what other Colonial nations are doing to Natives, especially the Jade Empire of Ingen, which is oppressing the world of Marchand, which the Furrelian Union has protested against time and time again. Furthermore, it was the Colonial Gauss Dominion that tried to undermine Furrelian self-security, and it is the Colonial Union of Worlds which is doing it by Ancerium Sanctions. All of these nations are colonial and only serve their own goals, often at the expense of natives and colonials alike. The Furrelian Union has suffered under these Colonials, though not at the same level as Marchand or Aedleshaven. As a consequence, the Furrelian Union is willing to join the CONA as one of the few Colonial nations which fight for righteousness. The Furrelian Union will join the alliance if these general guidelines are met or an acceptable alternative is debated and agreed on
There will be no attempts to limit Furrelian Independence in any way. This includes economically, militarily, politically or any other way.
The ‘Free’ Furrelian Republic will not be allowed CONA membership in any way or form, as it poses a risk to Furrelian National Security. Furthermore, the CONA will not intervene in a possible conflict between the two.
Ancerium trade and trade in general between the organisation and the nation will continue as per pre-Union of Worlds sanctions.
The Furrelian Union may send ships through the Aedleshaven corridor, to the level Aedleshaven finds acceptable.
The Furrelian Union hopes it has found itself a new ally in the Ancerious galaxy by trusting the CONA, and if it is to accept membership, know that the CONA will have made no mistake by accepting the Furrelian Union as one of its members.

Dear and Honourable Selesko Ujem,
Despite the fact that the Furrelian Union and the Union of Worlds have not had the best history of relations in the past, and that there are sanctions in place against the Furrelian Union, with the recent rise in galactic tensions caused by the native nations, especially Orillia and Aedleshaven, it has become obvious for the Furrelian Union that it needs the backing of other Colonial nations to survive the upcoming war, the Union of Worlds included.
The Furrelian Union is willing to, as long as some requests are debated on or met, join the Colonial cause and to join the Second Ancerious Galactic Alliance, from now on referred to as the SAGA. All the Colonial nations of the Galaxy must stand together in the upcoming threat of a war with a Native population. The Furrelian Union is more than willing to join the SAGA, but only if all sanctions are removed against the Furrelian Union. However, it will be worth removing in the end, as the Furrelian Military and Economy will be able to be renovated back to their original sizes, and even beyond. The Furrelian Union has held friendships with some of the nations who have publically announced their support for the CONA, the Socialist Republic of Imaginarium comes to mind. The defence that the Colonial Nations need to do to survive in the galaxy is justified. The Furrelian Union will join the alliance if these general guidelines are met or an acceptable alternative is debated and agreed on:
There will be no attempts to limit Furrelian Independence in any way. This includes economically, militarily, politically or any other way.
