Thaerus’s eyes narrowed at the macrys message as it entered his field of view, emerging from a small green notification symbol as he inquired to its contents. His sudden motion stirred the Knight nearby; her helm tilting up from her work as she noticed the poised interest in his movements, and was growing ever curious the longer the Volras did not divulge. As much as it was not her place to pry, Astira had bled for Thaerus, and their bond had only strengthened in the recent months now that they were working more closely with one another.
Finally she could not wait, letting out a series of clicks before speaking.
“Well? What has you so enticed?”
Thaerus’s head twitched in her direction as he let out his own response of clicks. The gesture was something of a cultural relic, though its sentiment was not lost on either Echo.
“You remember the Auraxxi invasion, Astira?”
The Knight stood from her chair, the cloth of her cloak swishing to one side as she approached Thaerus.
“I remember reading the reports: claimed territory in Palar Rift, yes? Has something happened?”
“Representatives from the ‘Lithorian Collective’ have responded to House Tempest’s offer of sale. They are offering an impressive amount of Ancerium.”
Astira moved to the other side of Thaerus, slinking around his seat to look at him more directly.
“This is incredible, Gael’ra! Think of what the Kings will say when they hear of this!”
“This will go far for the Empire, Astira. The Empire could really use this Ancerium, now more than ever. Send word to House Kings, I am sure they will want to personally oversee the process, as well as take some of the credit for themselves.”
Astira laughed, placing a hand on his shoulder.
“They’ll remember who won them this bounty, Thaerus. You’ll see. Xull may be a shard of hot steel, but she does not forget victories. This is definitely a victory. Wear it with pride.”

The process was indeed swift under the scrutiny of House Kings. The occupying forces in the region had only been enough to keep up appearances, and what void-structures had been brought forth to increase productivity were able to be returned to Lorenx within a matter of weeks.
Military forces oversaw the exodus, ensuring that nothing interfered with the procedure, as well as to ensure that the Ancerium payout was secure and escorted safely back to Echotian territory.
When it was all said and done, the Lithorians were given the blessings of the Empire. Should they ever wish to pursue future dealings, the door to commerce was now open.
