After seeing her way back to her beloved ship, the Hana's Solace, she was immediately contacted by Decoroso Command and asked to perform some diplomatic duties, of which she was more than happy to do at the moment. The FDC Meet, and some of the events that happened there felt heavy on her mind, and the small distraction of some diplomacy with a nation eager to learn more about the Dectrose seemed good at the moment. So thus, the Hana's Solace opened a wormhole, and slid inside, opening up inside UWA's territory, as her Comms Officer displayed clearly her IFF, her status and her mission. Hopefully she would either see them at her location, or they would guide her in to a proper ground for diplomacy.
Admiral Amastacia was expecting to be the one to meet the diplomat and her ship.
After she left the planet where she spent her first date with Margheriti, she was quickly assigned back to operations. For now, she would be the first UWA Admiral to welcome a diplomat from the Dectrose.
Her ship and two escorts were waiting for her. When she detected her arrival, Amastacia sent a signal out to the ship that she had to proceed to where they were waiting. And that was close to Alondra, the capital world of the UWA.
With some wait between when the signal was received, and for two Emerald Jewel V's to join the Hana's Solace, Terri proceeded to the coordinates, soon arriving there with three ships total, she opened up a communications line to Amastacia's ship "Admiral Amastacia of the UWA, I am Grand Assault Fleet Admiral and High Diplomat Terri of the Dectrose Empire, here for a diplomatic mission, though I must ask you, on your ship or mine?" Her tone was a soothing, smooth voice that seemed to calm even the most furious of rapids. A soft, mellow tone that invited and warmed the communications line, like a friend inviting another to lunch. She sat in her chair with a warm cup of black coffee, sipping on it, nursing it as a comfort item.
"In your ship, I do say. After all, a Dectrose Admiral came to my ship and we both fell for each other as quickly as those couples in the movies would fall for each other." She paused then said "We have been expecting you for some time. I hope you can spare it."
She spoke well and in a military manner. Terse but calm, controlled but polite. She added "If anything, I offer my friendliness and promise of non aggression."
She let out a light chuckle "I've heard of Admiral Taylor's exploits, but to see Margheriti be.. twitterpated, is something new entirely. I'll have you know that he's currently on mission in the south, a Corsair fleet has been long overdue for a check-in back at Alqursan. He's out there to see what's been keeping them." She rotated her finger to her Marine Officer "You can most certainly come aboard, I have a meeting room that is quite the nice sight since I began my days in the ISF, the table is, well, iconic when one thinks of Dectrothian Diplomacy. I'll see you onboard Admiral." Her voice took on a motherly feel, as Terri moved on with her cup of coffee, to meet Amastacia down in the Diplomacy Room.
All the while, the ATAF guards assigned to her followed her every move, the elite forces where visibly well-equipped, with nearly any prototype the DRI could give them. Terri was special in this regard, most admirals, even the leader, Bohler, only had Imperial Marines, whereas the threats against Terri's life meant the ATAF would follow her, and once before, saved her from the jaws of the enemy.
The alien admiral of the UWA let out a very audible sigh of relief at hearing about Mergheriti. It has been a time indeed. She promised to herself in her mind that she would see him again and show him her affection by cooking for him and by providing him an audience with her family and closest friends.
For now, she concentrated on the matter and said "Very well! See you in the meeting room."
She left her command center and was joined rapidly by a team of twenty Naval Infantry. Ten males and ten females, mixed species. While she was no special admiral, she was the one who had only one personal attendant, her executive officer. As for these Naval Infantry, it had recently become the protocol of most formations in the United Fleets. Due to the Satembi Rebellion and increasing anxiety about the galaxy around them, High Command had this done.
Hopefully, Amastacia said to herself, no enemy will find her and interrupt her and her visitor. Soon enough, right now, the Admiral and her escorts quickly found a shuttle and made their way to the ship of Terri.
Soon enough, their shuttle was in reach of the Hana's Solace, and with few words, the shuttle was guided in and the Docking Bay Controller had to set them down among a throng of honor guards, Imperial Marines with polished power armor and short barreled firearms, they stood at attention for the UWA Admiral, and with little more fanfare, Terri appeared in the elevator at one end of the docking bay, hurriedly making her way to the UWA shuttle, and to greet them in person. She worked her fingers through her hair, making sure that it was tidy.
The Admiral had to hold back a tiny giggle at what she saw as unnecessary for a politician. She rolled her eyes and then simply approached her for a handshake, saying "It is nice to finally meet you in person, Terri. I hope you do not mind. On the other hand, allow me to welcome you to the United Worlds of Alondra." She then looked around, especially at the honor guards. She nodded to them and then said to Terri "Impressive."
She gave a short nod, "I'm glad to finally be here, your worlds are most beautiful." She looked out of the hanger bay for a moment, before turning back to the other admiral "Impressive, yes, but if I had my own way, protocol would be less strict with fellow friends. Of course, the ATAF here is only on guard for an attack from the Shades, they have already made an attempt on my life, one that was nearly successful, but the sacrifice of these men and women helped to stave their attack." She kept her hand in the other's, not too firm, but enough to let the other know that she was a woman in power.
"I must say though, Margheriti's description of you wasn't too far off, you are quite a wonderful woman. I can only hope that we stay this good-looking for long." She gave a light-hearted chuckle, as her hand slipped free of Amastacia's hand, and she pointed with her palm out, fingers extended towards their destination. "The room is this way, but I must ask of you, do you enjoy coffee, per chance?" As Terri and the ATAF guards began to move at the pace of the UWA Admiral.
She nodded to her and went in. But at the words she spoke of for Margheriti of her, she could not help but cause her own cheeks to blush!
For now though she shook it off and went straight in and followed her. She replied
"Oh yes, I enjoy coffee. But why not offer some tea? I'm sure you have some, yes?"
Her cup of coffee had been set out for her prior, as she easily sat down, gesturing Amastacia to sit down as well, before taking a long sip of her black coffee. She shook her head "I've never really had much tea, I prefer my daily dose of caffeine. But, what kind of teas do you like? I know Margheriti already submitted your teas and wines to the Dectrose Network." Terri crossed her legs, her hand idly tapping the table and a holographic display opening up for her, and the now-familiar oval tungsten table with a dark wood inlay circling the table in a thin oval. The RAVD node lit with an orange glow, the same as Terri's eyes, as she glanced over the initial data momentarily, before returning her full attention to Amastacia.
"Frankly, I have gotten a favorite sort of tea from Margheriti. It was this kind of tea that was in a capsule and when you put it in the water, it spreads out in very tiny pieces. On the one hand, I do enjoy my native teas and have a heart for the human tea developed from ginger." She then accepted, taking a seat and sipping the coffee. She smiled and said "Ah, it is good. It is very dark though. Is it truly supposed to be like this?"
"Yes, at least for me. no one in the galaxy could convince me to have my coffee any other way. Though if it's too strong for your tongue, you could add creamer or sugar to it. Otherwise, I know the mess hall has Tuporidious Teas, as you and Margheriti have had. One of my guards can fetch it for us." With a motion of her hand, an ATAF guard moved to the door, knocking in succession a few times, before returning to his post, a Marine soon arriving with the tea pills in question.
She leaned forward "But I doubt you came here to talk about coffee and teas, tell me, what is the topic for today? I certainly have an interesting proposition for you" The last sentence was spoken in a sing-song voice, Terri smiling widely.
"Certainly." She accepted the tea pills but for now turned her attention to speaking with her while also sipping at times the black, black coffee she had in the cup between her hands. She told her
"The topic for now is the situation developing with the Davians. And the other topic is the security of the Avarian Frontier related to the developing situation."
"The Davians." The words coming from her mouth as the whirring of her processor began "As far as we are aware, the Dectrose Empire have washed their hands of the Davians since our last meeting. We know that Par'lan had shown up at Voi Con, the same who helped evacuate Kaikoma, but other than that, we're under the assumption that they are at the negotiating table with AURA. Why?"
The topic of security was another interesting note, one she would most happily touch back on once she found out why the Davians where involved.
"Their doom means our concern. We are aligning with the PACT against the AURA and we may move soon to establish our defenses as well as seek the protection and assistance of the AGA or the FDC. Or both." She leaned forward and said "This is an extremely important national security matter and I need the most privacy with you right now. There is a game we have to play and I can only trust you in this room."
She even whispered "Because even I fear what is to come if I cannot play my part right."
"Against AURA? The Davian's fate is regretful in a professional manner, but by no means should that mean that AURA is a hostile force. Granted, their methods of assault are.. interesting, but I just don't see an AURA/Pact conflict occurring any time soon. As wild as the western reaches of the galaxy have proven themselves to be, my opinion is that the neutralization of the Davians and the perceived threat of the Andracken have served to cool things down."
She sipped calmly at her cup, savoring the black silk "As far as the FDC's assistance, we can grant you an audience with the council, and see if they wish to accept you into their ranks. Thus far, you have been a most admirable nation, and your gifts may be squandered in a conflict. Though if it will ease your mind, I will most gladly assure to you the Dectrose's personal protection, with a Mutual Defense Pact. Having the Dectrose in your hand of cards may prove to be the winning hand, as we can offer many services."
Although she did her best to calm her, she was concerned for her faction. She said "That's all well and good, Miss Terri. But I still fear for my faction. If need be, we must be able to defend and aggressively so and get help before we ourselves are removed from the face of the Galaxy. We cannot risk a fate like the Davians. And from what I discovered from the Ancerious Network, I hear rumors of slavers prowling in the galaxy. Although it is unfounded, we fear some AURA nations may be slaveholders."
Terri smiled and set down her coffee "Miss Amastacia, if anyone where to attack you, I give you my word that we will be among the first to respond. It may take a while, with the travel time of course, but nothing you have done in this galaxy is even comparable to the acts of the Divine Davian Empire. If anyone attacks, their ideals must be blinding their vision, as it is political suicide, as well as wasting their military in a doomed conflict." Her warming glow continued, as she stood, the holographic computer following as Terri sat next to Amastacia. "It'll be okay, your nation may be young, but we can and will protect you, and if the FDC invites you in, you will have many people watching over you."
She placed her hand on Amastacia's shoulder "As far as the rumors of slavers, I can offer you the services of any of our Private Military Companies, or if you wish for a more direct relationship, we can easily dispatch the Corsairs or an ISF Fleet to be stationed in your territory. AURA housing slavers though, if true, would likely destroy their reputation, I pray that they truly are not slavers, I know the Annointed in particular are not fond of such people."
She sighed in relief. And she now spoke in more unlimited length
"I give you my thanks. However, while you may protect us and fight for us, there is more.
We have heard about the Capitol and cause they fight for. We also heard of the Union and the cause they fight for. If I am able, I want to ask you and the FDC if it is absolutely all right that our faction consider membership not just with the FDC but also with the AGA? For we believe in the cause of the AGA. But we know we are too young and too weak. We must grow strong and fast."
She then took her hands and firmly held them
"Will you be among those to help us all?"
Her eyes locked quickly and sharply to Amastacia's own as the AGA was mentioned, the implications of a young nation going headlong into the Second Ancerious War, even at it's current stage was a daunting image. "If I may, I don't wish to dissuade you from joining a bloc, but the AGA are currently engaged in war with the APP, the Second Ancerious War, a galaxy-spanning war that has cost the lives of millions, several planets, untold numbers of fleets. The Inquisition came into this galaxy at near the same time as we have, and have been able to hold their own."
She squeezed the other's hands "Colonel Turney told the Dectrose that they are fierce warriors, and from our accounts, they have proven to be quite the powerful military, even facing Capitol and their fleets in an engagement alongside the AGA. As far as I know, Bohler and other admirals wish to seek space away from the AGA, as incidents and altercations between the Dectrose and the nations of the RSC and Union have soured relations to the brink. As well, we have had dealings with Rangvald and Triarch, both of whom supply the APP with ships and armaments."
She gave a troubled look to the other, telling her the troubles of the Dectrose and the trouble they have caused. "We're in hot water with the AGA, that has caused the Accord to shy away, as well as other troubling issues that we have yet to resolve, Bohler is talking to Carnaith as we speak to try and cool those waters. We don't have any hard feelings about you seeking the assistance of another bloc, but I want you to promise me that you will investigate every detail, and every requirement, even the FDC."
She pulled the other closer, the guards flinching, but remaining in their posts "Don't grow up too fast, my nation has done that and our morality was left behind, our nation is divided because of this, just let us help you, and guide you to be strong. I want our nations to be friends, close friends even, and we will assist you in any endeavor." She shook the combined hands "Understand?"
She shook the hands gently and sadly. She smiled too at her but also a little sadly. She then sigh and let go and told her
"I understand. But the decision to accept your help or not, to keep our agreements, may not be in my hands. It is in the hands of my faction. Our people, our President and his friends."
She then nodded to her and said "Forgive me and my faction but we cannot give you a solid answer immediately. But all I can say is that we will always be friendly towards you and I promise you on my life and the relationship I made with my beloved that we will never fight you if you too promise not to strike us."
Giving the other a beaming smile, Terri let out a soft chuckle "Just put in a good word for us then, if your nation don't wish to accept the Dectrose's offers, they may do so at a later date. As far as striking you, we have no reason to do so, you need not worry about us. I promise to you, personally, that we will never seek hostilities with you."
She nodded and even bowed at the end. Then she said her own
"Forever we see you as friends."
And then she said "I must go then. I will see you again if ever fate tells us to."
"Of course, here's my direct contact information, should you need my assistance immediately." She swiped her hand at the node, and the information was sent to Amastacia. "Keep in touch, no matter what happens, I wouldn't mind having some relaxing time with you in the future. But if you ever want to host, just remember, black coffee only." Terri chuckled.
