Unknown Location: Neutral Space
Two Glimmer Class DDs, a Dakoom medium cruiser, and an Airakus Class heavy cruiser jumped into the meeting area. Vyfren Fensol watched the green readings on the jump-exiting of each ship and adjusted his uniform. Since the Head Leader had been gone, Vyfren had been given charge of all Alfurian forces in Ancerious. With some of his more brazen subcommanders like Jacellem going on mostly unsanctioned missions into the unknown, he had been a bit more stressed out than usual.
"This is still better than before..." he growled to himself, remembering the battles of Manai and New Aviluna. There had been little information on this meeting, but with not much else to do in the galaxy there was little reason to refuse the gathering. What information there was had been redundantly spread to Alfur's closest allies.
The Alfurian ships slowed and waited after deploying a .75AU spreading sovex field to let their scanners an sensors go to work, just in case. All communications lines were open and silent.
Echo forces broke FTL after a few minutes, two KingsFury's followed by a non-military craft of House Tact. The regal blue of the Tact decorated the obsidian-like design of the Kings transport.
Aboard, Zenith watched as reality warped back into a relativistic shape; his insides beginning to not feel the pressure of FTL.
His eyes turned to the forward portholes, enhanced bio-mechanics in his retinas indentifying it as Alfurian origin.
Friendly macrys signals were broadcast to the allied ships, but no words passed.
The ships simply hung in formation, watching, waiting.
"Dropping in 4....3....2....1.."
An empty space of the system shimmered as a ZYPHER fleet rendered into reality. 20 Holy Pantheons ships in a angular formation infront of a Gandross. 2 Gastins, 2 Dreadstars and a mixture of 10 High Majesties and another 10 Holy Pantheons closed in on the rear of the formation. The Gandross, 'Sword of Kudavu' was the flagship belonging to Alydai himself. The Viceroy Warbird walked towards the front of the 2nd bridge as the radar blinked on both the Echo and Alfur fleets.
"Friendly fleets in the region. No hostile activity detected." a tactical officer said as Alydai watched his screen.
"Well...we were summoned here..." He said as he nodded to the communications officer, who immediately opened communications to allied ships, hoping if any of their friendly allies, could explain what was going on.
"Keep Tactical systems on passive and on standby, just in case." He said, as he awaited for both friends to respond.
Some distance from where the various CORE factions had arrived in their assorted ways, a single Nuclean ship simply arrived. No fancy burst of radiation or portal occurred to announce its arrival, but instead the distinct lack of signature spoke volumes about who it was, at least if they were familiar with the Nucleans and their superlight transport methods.
The ship in question was a shiny metallic dark blue in color, with a somewhat blade shaped hull 64.4 kilometers long, making it clear that this was one of the generation two supercruisers. Its four main engines propelled it forward, bringing it closer to the other assorted ships before it slowed and held position, simply letting its IFF transponders identify it to the other vessels, and otherwise taking no action apart from holding the shields up.
On the bridge of the ship, which bore the name Nova Hammer, Fleetmaster Kard stood near the command chair watching the readouts on the other factions present. Next to him and occupying the command chair, Shipmaster Erran had just finished ordering the ship to be brought to a standstill per Kard's wishes as they waited for the other AGA representatives to show up.
A small gravometric disturbance was felt briefly, along with a churning pinprick of light. as quickly as this anomaly appeared, so to it receded, leaving a small sleek form in its place. the Organism was what stood as a 'diplomatic shuttle' . unlike other forms which seemed more like gigantic creatures or lifeforms, this craft appeared as a single pillar of marble. A surface of bone, polished and smoothed to a shine. slight ridges accentuated its slender form.
A small signal burst was sent out to all those who had gathered, indicating its precense, as well, as allegiance, for those who may have not yet encountered the race.
There was a bright blue flash as several Union warships translated from slipspace to realspace. Making their way in towards the co-ordinates and broadcasting friendly IFFs to all present.
Aboard the bridge of the Adroit Saffire stood overseeing the situation, it was the first time she had properly conducted diplomacy away from the Union, much to the protests of the Admiral she had chosen to come anyway. Her radiance aboard the bridge and sheer overwhelming prescence had kept the crew in awe of her ever since she had stepped foot aboard and the Captain had tried to cede control of the ship to her she had taken it as an honour thing but in reality she didnt want to interupt or undermine the man from his crew. This meeting was far too important to sit out, and while the voices in her head were louder here she was confident in her abilities.
She would meet with CORE, and negotiate some kind of pact between them and the AGA, in a best case scenario she hoped they would join the war to aid the AGA while the AGA assisted CORE in destroying the System and Voleant.
In the worst case she hoped to at least get them to sit the war out for their own sake.
The man in front of her was nervous, scared almost. The people surrounding them chuckled and jested as she walked around him, his snout pointed high. Tail flicked between his legs, pins in his lapel keeping his snout from dropping. She put her hand on the taller mans shoulder, he flinched. Howling laughter from the crowd.
"If you so much as hum that gods-bedamned song during this meeting, I will have your hide decorating the floor of my personal chambers," rear admiral Selic whispered into the males' ear as she crept her other hand down his arm. "If you ask me, Histrion was an embarrassment. Your inaccurate little tunes are, for the very last time, not welcome on my ship-" she continued, her right hand grasping his left as she kicked his left leg out from under him, swinging him around into his communications chair, her right hand now pushed against his chest with outstretched fingers as she stared into his eyes. A small amount of blood dripped from the pins, the rear corners of his mouth trembling. "Am I understood, officer Werton?" she inquired incredibly quietly, the personnel behind her mumbling.
"...Yes, Ma'am." he whispered. She smiled. The plotter on the other side of the room called out; "T-minus one hundred and twenty seconds until arrival," the other personnel in the room mumbling and returning to their positions. The CIC of a battlecruiser was... cramped yet open at the same time, if that made any sense. The structure of the walls created a sense of claustrophobia despite the clearly-open architecture of the room.
"Good," She responded to the man in the seat in front of her. She slowly stood, pushing lightly off of his left hand as she stood back, looking at him. "Remove those pins and apply some biofoam," she said as she turned and walked with a certain rhythm towards her command chair, the man reaching into his desk and receiving an applicator. Selic was perfectly suited to Carnaithian maneuver groups; vicious when need be, but with enough restraint to keep herself from overcommitting. She had a vaguely sensual way of doing things, and it was just another tool she used to keep the personnel under her command in line. She sat, jacking in to her seat, as she crossed her leg over the other and leaned back into a corner of the chair, bringing a comb out of a pocket and raising it to straighten a bang back into line but deciding it looked better that way. Read-outs and reports from the stations on her ship as well as the four accompanying destroyers began appearing on the screen, officers calling out checks and reports as the timer to arrival ticked down. A small helo-drone activated, mounting a camera, and framed her in. The arrival dropped.
The Carnaithian ships arrived with a mere there-they-aren't-now-they-are act, accompanied by a small EM flash on the non-visual spectrum, quite clearly showing just how large the jump holes the craft used were. The four destroyers were in a square, slightly aft of the battlecruiser, the formation making up a pyramid shape. As communication signals already present in the system began to be received and the positions and readouts of other ships were nailed down, their own broadcast was made, accompanied by a metadata databurst that contained translation codexes and nation data for Carnaith.
"I am rear admiral Angeline Selic of the Carnaithian Omniversal Empire, member of the Ancerious Galactic Alliance. I trust we can begin speaking now that everyone I was told to be here is present?" She spoke, broadcasting video of herself in order to make a bit more of a connection.
Alydai watched as those gathered continue to wait. Despite the open and derived space, the tense atompshere of waiting for the reason of their summoning was beyond obvious.
"Receiving a message."
"Finally. Open a broad spectrum signal." He said before opening a communication channel to respond, keeping th ehannel open to allies.
//Greetings Rear Admiral.// Alydai said, the warbird shuffling as a holo image of him appeared.
//I’m Viceroy Alydai of the ZYPHER Empire. I am quite curious as to why we and many of our brothers from CORE have been summoned here.// Alydai said.
Macrys signals reported in the various ships arriving in local space. Union and the so-called Carnaithian Omniversal vessels began broadcasting to the allied fleets.
Zenith was intrigued. Sure he had heard of the AGA from the Houses of Shadow and War, but to personally see these ships was another thing. Design, possibly flawed, especially when compared to the Houses, who could match the raw intensity of a blade?
His macrys flared for a moment as the KingsFury's began reporting in again, before he rerouted them to Xell, his HouseCarl.
The node in his own collar connected with the broadcasting macrys matrix, before a message was sent in reply.
-//-With all due respect, Viceroy Alydai, I do believe this to be of obvious diplomatics. Several major, similarly directed nations with common enemies and goals if I'm not mistaken?-//-
A shadow presented Zenith with a pict screen of acquired information on Union and Carnaithian ship design, purely superficial, before heading back to behind his command throne.
-//-And Admiral, if I may, I trust your question to be rhetorical? Judging by the sight selected and the apparent lack of organized agendas, I would like to offer up my personal vessel to host further discussion.-//-
Slower than some other allies due to the intense displacement scans being connected, the communications signals were detected by the Alfurian ships one by one. Vyfren connected to the channels already established, though there would be no visual representation of him: only voice. He listened to his Zypher and Echo allies patiently and without saying a word himself. Like most other of the Alfurians here, he was curious. But the dealings and fallouts of CORE, the Voleant-System war, and mysterious rumors from afar gave a certain reluctant caution that pressed into Vyfren's mind.
For now the political small talk was of little interest to him, and besides is cautious thoughts, his curiosity toward meeting the ones that had summoned CORE was strong. The large signal in the distance was a tad offputting, but he resisted the order to charge the weapons. Union was a good ally, as their ships had fought with CORE in the past. A more solid alliance would be wise, Vyfren thought, but that could be one of the results of this very meeting.
"This is Saffire of the Union of Worlds I am here, as are represenatives of both Carnaith and the Nucleans to speak to CORE on behalf of the entire AGA. It is time the two power blocs officially entered some kind of diplomacy, with numerous treaties between our member nations and even us fighting alongside one another the time has come for something official. The exacts can be worked out by us, and if everyone consensts we may do so aboard the Echoe vessel, it would be an honour to come across"
Saffire smiled, hopefully this would go well.
In the videocall, another image appeared, this one of a male Nuclean in the naval powerarmor variation, upon who's chest lay three gold stars, indicating the rank of Fleetmaster.
"Greetings, I am Fleetmaster Kard of the Nuclean Ecumene. I second Saffire's sentiments, and look forward to meeting you all in person aboard the Echoe vessel if that is acceptable to everyone. Otherwise everyone is more than welcome to meet aboard mine"
Zenith grinned, though the others could not see it.
-//-Docking coordinates are being sent to all vessels. Proceed with caution and without hostility. I will see you soon-//-
Kard closed the connection and ordered a shuttle prepped as he made his way to the docking bay via the ship's grid teleportation system. Upon arrival in said bay, he board a shuttle along with two marines, which then sealed its entry and zoomed out of the docking bay into space, headed for the coordinates on the Echo vessel which had been supplied.
A few minutes after receiving the invitation, Vyfren made his way down to the hangar and boarded a Konima transport. The small and swift craft shot out of the side of the Alfurian vessel and made it's way toward the designated Echo ship. Soon it was on approach and ready to dock or land.
The Echotian King watched as the various shuttles made their way towards his personal vessel. As they neared, Zenith headed down towards the docking bays.
Once the delegates arrived from their various shuttles, they were directed to an obvious room designed for diplomacy. A House of Tact sigil adorned the table, and those involved were seated equidistant from one another. A large porthole was positioned on the one side of the room, displaying the void outside.
As those assembled took their seats, Zenith stood to address them from his position at the table.
As he opened his mouth to speak, a large mucus-like blob of Dirge flesh impacted the window. With a starling thud, the form pressed what could be mistaken for a head into the glass. A psychic presence suddenly filled the room as the black, orb-like eyes studied everyone, singling out no one in particular.
"I suppose this means we are all set to start?"
Alydai watched as the Dirge representive attended from outside the ship. The Centurions guards only stood to the flanks behind their Viceroy, as they looked at the Dirge eyes.
“I agree with you.” Alydai replied before looking at the the other delegates gathered.
As per usual during in-person meetings, Vyfren chose to not sit but stand behind his designated seat and close to the wall. He had come alone; with no guards, escorts, or fellow officers to be seen. He raised an eyebrow at the impact of the Dirge blob, and said to himself quietly
"Ah, 'Dirgie', I see." With his left hand resting casually on the pommel of his sword, he then looked to Alydai, then at the others gathered here.
The marines which Kard had brought took up a post behind the chair that he chose to sit in, standing at attention against the wall to either side, their inner shoulders approximately aligned with those of the Fleetmaster himself.
Kard meanwhile, was somewhat taken aback by the impact of the Dirge representative, but as no one else seemed to be alarmed, he did not comment, but rather addressed the delegates present "Yes let us get started"
Saffire took her seat in the room, a soft golden glow eminating from her angelic form. She was wearing her full armour set but had no guards in attendance, she could more than handle herself but then she wasnt expecting any threats here either way.
"Yes I am ready to begin proceedings, this should be a momentus day"
The Dirge envoy spoke, its bulbous form receding from the viewport, though its mental presence still enveloped the room. When it spoke, the voice appeared from all points in the room,
"Indeed.... This one is elated.. for the.. opportunity.. to meet in a more.. Official capacity..."
Zenith eyed the AGA representatives.
"So if you're ready, you may proceed. I am eager to hear what you have to say, but only if you say it."
Zenith had guards, being a King he had little choice, and the two Shadows took up flanking positions behind his chair. They appeared to be unarmed, but anyone who knew about them would think otherwise.
Saffire nodded and stood up.
"I would like to thank you for having us represenatives of the AGA here today. We are here on behalf of the entire alliance, and I wish to extend friendship from all our members" She smiled.
"My people have fought alongside the members of CORE for sometime now, the threat of the System and the Voleant has demonstrated to be a threat to the peace of the galaxy as a whole not just the galactic south east as is the case theorised by some and so we have diverted precious military forces to help fight back the tide despite our position in the current galactic war. I have come to make a proposition, the AGA sees excellent allies in CORE and I wish to extend an alliance between the two power blocs. Not only will you be able to trade and gain knowledge from the entirity of the AGA but we will also aid in your war against the System and Voleant, as well as try our best to crush the APP elements in the south east to secure your territories. In exchange we would honourably ask for you to aid us in our war against the tyranny and terror of the APP. You have already shown yourselves to be excellent and well respected warriors and the AGA would benefit greatly from your combined strength, alongside ours we would be able to crush the APP and win the war in short order. Together we can bring peace to the galaxy and eliminate elements that threaten the stability of the regions. It is however collectively up to you, and if you do wish to aid the AGA militarily alone and in no relation to CORE we will respect that just as much. I hope you choose well" Saffire bowed her head in respect before sitting down and allowing the representatives to process the offer and debate amongst themselves.
Zenith did not hesitate to respond.
"Of course you see how this offer could be seen as counterproductive? We are only just seeing a horizon on this pointless war, and you want us to start into another? House Tact will not be aiding in this war, our diplomats have enough on their macrys as is. That being said, I will run your proposal by the Houses of War and Fire. They are far more... responsive to these kinds of proposals."
The Echo clicked in his throat, leaning back in his chair.
"However, I of course do not speak for CORE as a whole either."
The Dirge thought form addressed the question, "This is agreeable.. the price of aid, is simply aid in return... This one however has a query, apologies on advance for this one a tone. Would the support expected be all encompassing, or would this military alliance permit for selective processes. ... We have found ourselves forming positive relations regardless of alliegence.... it would be most agreeable if possible, to avoid breakdowns of diplomacy with those we have previously encountered. "
Roughly half way through its speech, the form had entered the room, though it's voice was still not attached to its physical location
Alydai mainly stood quiet listening to the response of the other members before responding himself.
“Admittedly I am not a diplomatic person as my other half is.” He said.
“And tho, I do long for the satisfaction of jumping into the tide of flames again, I must stay hesitant on deciding out right without discussing it of course among allies and internally.” He added.
“However I believe we have made a step in your direction, so I do see a future of assistance.”
Standing to the side with his back against one of the bulkheads of the room, Vyfren wore a flat, unyielding expression. He was in great agreement with Zenith; strongly feeling the nags of past conflicts that were hugely negative. He, and the Alfurians he represented here, knew very little of this larger war that plagued the galaxy. Though Alfurians did not shy away from war, the battles of recent times had been Alfur aiding allies just because they were allies. This was for honor and mutual protection, true, but CORE had served little function but as to pull Alfur into fighting and spilling it's peoples' blood in foreign systems.
He shifted quietly and let out an almost tired sounding hum; cocking his head just slightly and stepping forward while doing so.
"What my Echo brother says is reflective of what my people would think. Even with the benefits of joining good allies with interesting uniqueness to them, what would stem the worth of conflict? We, as in the Alfurians, do not share the motivation to become entangled with fighting that does not truly concern us. Furthermore, even though alliances with your 'AGA' does sound like a generous offer that should be considered, wouldn't joining your 'power block' just make our region a target for your enemies? True as well for me is that I only represent Alfurian interests, not CORE as a total."
The work and aspirations of the Head Leader and Vyfren's own close and recently fallen cousin, Wellen crossed Vyfren's mind. They once had the intentions to break out of Alfur's reclusive and isolationist traditions. But what had that gotten them? The Alfurian opinion of CORE in itself was falling rapidly, and although their allies were still very respected and appreciated, a more modular approach was being applied in way of how Alfur interacted with the group. This offer of joining a potentially bigger group that was already engaged in warfare was daunting for sure. There was more to learn, of course, so Vyfren stepped back and held his hands behind him to listen.
While her arrival had been silent, as was her participation in the over-arcing dialogue of the meeting, Selic had her own things to say. She had been allowed particular intel to use in this discussion, though she thought it wouldn't take much more than what was publicly accessible on the galactic extranet. She shifted her legs in her casual position after the Alfurian representative concluded in his contribution for the time being.
"Now, as much as Carnaithian interests lean towards isolationist, singular matters following some particular events in our history here," Selic began, slowly caressing a glass of water before her with her claws as she shifted her focus from one CORE members' eyes to another, "it may be of significant interest to consider the larger picture. Even a temporary alliance with the AGA would open vast non-military opportunities and connections while military support in the current war can be cut off the moment it concludes. Yes, the immediate threat is vast, but if the war ends in a draw or, Pantheon forbid, a defeat for the AGA, then APP goals would reign. Yes, the APP supports individuality, but this is focused around Capitols image of individuality; themselves and others would be free to raid and conquer as they please, and smaller alliances would be smothered. Centers of galactic economy and connection would be shattered, just like all opportunity to make any joint power strong enough to compete with Capitol, be it militarily, politically, or economically."
"Supporting the AGA would be more than entering a war. While the recent conflict you are now seeing the end of posed a great threat to your nations, the second Ancerious war is a pivotal point in history. While messages of the greater good go directly against individuality among nations, assisting in establishing a stable galaxy-wide environment will by extension allow your own nations to prosper without threat of being carved up like a holiday feast between APP supporters." she continued. "If any one of you have studied the history of the first Ancerious war, then you can see a much more focused result of a non-decisive result to this war. To this day, the threat of Immortal Empire forces crushing remaining Tenebraen territories looms over the Union and my own nation. The same would go for the APP and the galaxy at large. They are not nations who fight for their message, they fight for their own goals, which vary just as wildly as the Empress' ability to stay focused on a message to send."
Zenith understood the point being made and in part agreed with them. Defeating a large power bloc and allying with the winning side would guarantee the Houses a place in the sun, so to speak. But the risks faced would mean forever distancing themselves with other potential allies.
He said nothing, allowing the information to settle into the room, and allowing the others to respond while he tried for a diplomatic response.
Kard nodded at Selic's words, speaking after the Carnaithian had finished her contribution to the conversation. "Absolutely spot on" then turning to address the CORE members within the room "I might add on that most if not all of you I assume have seen the broadcasts from Capitol regarding the Crucible and their willingness to use it on those they consider a threat. It is becoming blatantly obvious that they do not care about the means, only the ends, and therefore as has been pointed out, they will not hesitate to swat aside or otherwise interfere with anyone if they see it beneficial to their own interests."
Sacule turned to Zenith "I thank you for your aid in relaying my proposal but I wish to state this in reinforcement to Selic here the APP if they are not totally defeated will dictate the future of this galaxies political spectrum we did not totally defeat the IE in the last war and that has come back to haunt us massively. If the APP do win this war they will not care about you or your nation, they will probably invade you and carve up what they want just like Selic said, they do not cater to individuality only to Capitols wishes, they dont care about peoples freedoms only their own and they will exploit every single nation to achieve said goals, if you fight alongside us you will not only enter excellent standing with one of the galaxies largest power blocs but also with the rest of the galaxy if we do win."
Sacule then responded to the Dirge representative with a smile "Indeed it is rather simple in that regard, and yes if you wish to aid, aid in the way you see fit. I do not ask you all here to simply throw forces and lives at this war in one giant attack or to throw down your lives for the sake of the AGA, merely to help us like we helped you. Fleets here and there, helping where they can, economic support, trade, logistical aid and the like, anything will help where it can" She then nodded to Alydai "Of course, you all decide this and we cannot do so for you. We could of come here demanding your aid in return for what we have helped with but we do not, we merely extend a hand in friendship, how far you decide to take that hand is entirely up to you as individual nations"
She then turned to Vyfren "That is very true, it would point you as potential targets to the APP, however I severely doubt they have quite the capacity to suddenly open up another entire front of the war against a new and battletested power bloc any attacks that likely come against you will not be of massive standing. We have their focus at the moment, and that is not likely to change, we both Selic and Kard here will attest we have operations happening right now that have tied up the majority of APP forces, if you do choose to join us you may be able to strike without the threat of immediate repocussions from counter invasions, that and I doubt that Capitol has knowledge on every one of your indivuidual wearabouts."
The Dirge turned to Sacule, satisfied it's query had finally been adressed, " Acknowledged. ... we will begin to provide economic and logistical support immediately , as well ... a pledge of Military assistance, with the stipulation . ... should your foe be our friend... we will refrain from fighting, and instead... assist in the after math...... this one hopes that this is satisfactory..... this one wishes our ties to grow stronger. .. much stronger in the coming.... months. . "
Still leaning against the bulkhead behind him, Vyfren narrowed his eyes just slightly. He shifted and looked at the floor, then back up to the others in the room. After straightening his uniform, he spoke again.
"Many a fair point have been presented here today. With all due respect to my allies..." he nodded to each CORE member representative in the room "...I think this is a matter for my command staff and I to ponder for the betterment of Alfur, not CORE. I mean this with all respect. But other than simple fighting, our alliance has been a calm and stagnant one. There is nothing wrong with this, however what the AGA offers is much more active. Thus, I respectfully say that this matter will be decided without foreign input. That being said, the offer has been noted, and will be replied to in time."
Vyfren glanced at the door, and then back to those in the room.
"Now I apologize for bringing this discussion, at least on my front, to a sudden change, but I must be off. I look forward to meeting with all of you once again, and may good fortunes follow your endeavors." Without another word or gesture, Vyfren swiftly and purposefully walked out of the meeting room and back toward his Konima.
Zenith had thought for long enough, and though the Echo’s had some standing relationships with Capitol, this offer of an alliance with a major power bloc could cement the Nations place in the Universe.
As Vyfren left, Zenith spoke again.
“The Houses will not all be onboard with this; I will be your representative while I convince the others of your cause. We will be in touch.”
Zenith stood, aware that the meeting was coming to a close. The Shadows that guarded him promptly shifted to leave.
“I hope to see you both again soon. Mal’thran Th’raal”
As the lasting motto of the Echo’s left his lips, Zenith bowed, turned, and walked back to his shuttle.
"I thank you for your support, anything is welcome and we can appreciate your wish to keep ties with those who may be friendly to you in the APP. We do not wish to turn such against you" She bowed her head to the Dirge representative.
Sacule nodded to Vyfren in agreement with what he had said "That is entirely expected, although there is another matter I wish to discuss, I shall contact you about it over a secure channel after this meeting" She watched him nod as he left before she turned to Zenith.
"That is all I can ask. Thank you for your time all of you, I know that times are swift and that you do not have much time to give but that which you have given is much appreciated. Farewell" Sacule nodded to the others, it seemed the meeting was over. But she still had information to distrbute.
After the meeting secure lines were opened up, Sacule garnering and gauging the support of each individual factions as they reported to their superiors. Sacule also began to discuss why she had not invited the Dectrose to the meeting, revealling that the Union did not entirely trust them. Records were shared about their actions at Ural as well as the AUs vocal distrust and opinion of them to the AGA. Coupled with the events revealling that the Dectrose high commander Sabre had been pursuing some rather freightening projects Sacule told the others that she felt it was prudent not to include them, for potential fear of giving anything away to the APP. Every scrap of data and report was given over to them, just as CORE seemed willing to provide as well.
With everything wrapped up it appeared like the meeting had been an excellent success for both parties.
