In a possibly remote system, several ships re-entered real space after their FTL travel. There were ten ships, a Bach Dang class Cruiser, a Thang Long class Carrier, a Van Kiep Support Cruiser as well as 6 Chuong Duong Heavy Destroyers and a Science ship, these ships belong to the Davian 2nd exploration fleet. The arriving of the fleet near Nuclean's space was not coincidence. They was given a task to establish contact with the Nuclean Empire. After the successful diplomatic mission with the Union of World, the fleet was tasked with establishing more contacts with the other AGA powers to strengthen the title between Divine Davia Empire with this seemingly promising power bloc.
Upon arriving, the Davian fleet began to actively scan the system while sending out AGA friendly contact codes and their own Davia codes so the owner of the system will know the fleet were friendly with the AGA's cause and thus won't be misidentify as hostile forces.
Sensor arrays within the system, known to the Nucleans as New Omega, triggered at the presence of the ten vessels, alerting controllers to what was going on. At the same time, comm arrays picked up the IFF codes that the Davia were emitting. A transmission was sent to the vessels saying "Greetings vessels of the 'Divine Davia Empire'. You have entered Nuclean Ecumene territory, please identify your purpose here"
The Davian ships quickly received the answering message. The message clearly clarified that they had arrived in the right place and the Nuclean Ecumene so far showed no hostility.
The Davian Battlecruiser quickly replied: "Greeting Nuclean Ecumene. This is the Davian 2nd exploration fleet. Firstly we want to say sorry for our sudden arrival especially in the times of galactic war like this. Our purpose to be here is to establish contact with your faction. We heard about your faction through the Union of Worlds and wish to establish formal relations with you."
A moment or two passed, and then a response came "We are pleased to hear that. The governor of New Omega welcomes you and invites you to send an emissary to meet and discuss relations between our civilizations"
As the Davian received the message, they quickly responded: "It would be our honor to dispatch our diplomats to meet your governor. You have our thanks. The diplomats are being dispatch as we speak."
Not long after. A space shuttle flanked by two Lac Bird star fighters broke free from the Davian battle cruiser and moved toward the Nuclean and wait for their instruction to land.
"Excellent. Please proceed to the attached location" came the reply transmission, along with the coordinates for a location on the planet.
As the shuttle travelled, it was escorted by several pairs of fighters, which formed a set of three on each side of the craft as it moved to the directed area, a landing pad on the grounds of the planetary government building, ready to react should the shuttle try anything.
"We're following your instruction." The three Davian crafts, escorted by Nuclean fighters quickly descended upon the well prepared landing pad: "Landing in process… Landing successfully. Thank you for the trip."
Moment after the shuttle landed successfully, its ramp slowly lowed and the Davian diplomats quickly stepped out. There were a human commissar followed by a Shiguran adjutant and a hovering winged SAI, there were also 4 power armored soldiers.
The landing pad upon which the shuttle now rested, was set several hundred feet away from the capitol building, and connected by a walkway of blue and white polished stone ten feet wide. On either side of this walkway, was an honor guard of ten Nuclean marines, arranged five to a side, standing at attention facing inward towards the center of the walkway, down which a female Nuclean garbed in green robes with a silver form fitting breastplate of a polished silver material walked.
The Nuclean nodded her head as she approached the Davian diplomats "Greetings honored guests, I am Sillna, governor of New Omega. Welcome"
"Greetings governor Sillna of Nuclean Ecumene, I'm Commissar Trung of Davia 2nd Exploration Fleet, I and my staff were chosen for this diplomatic meeting." The Davian commissar slightly bowed: "It would be my honor to meet you and I hope this meeting would greatly benefit our people"
"Your sentiments are shared. If you would please follow me, we can move to the meeting room to discuss the future of our two nations" Sillna replied with a smile, before turning on her heel and walking back towards the capitol building.
As the Davian group inevitably followed, the honor guard waited until they had all passed, then each group executed a right/left face as appropriate, then marched double file behind the Davians back to the building, holding back some fifteen feet.
As expected by everyone. The Davian group quickly followed Sillna, they in turn would be followed by the Nuclean troopers. After a few walks they entered the building and heading to the meeting room.
The capitol building was very large and cross shaped from the top, formed by two rectangles that sloped inward somewhat towards the top. In the center of the room was a large glass dome, and several moderately sized towers jutted upward from the ends of the wings of the cross. The building itself seemed to combine a mix of pillars and stone with metal and glass, giving an ultramodern theme combined with that of an older style.
The closest wing had a large entrance on the end, which is where the walkway led and where the party entered the building. Sillna led them to a large teleport pad, which warped them up several floors, where they were then led to a meeting room. As they arrived at the room, the two of the four marines which hadn't silently disappeared on the trip there posted outside the door, while the other two entered the room first as the doors automatically whisked open. Sillna entered and motioned for the Davians to do the same, gesturing to several rather comfortable chairs which materialized on one side of a sizable circular table, one for each of their party.
The lavishness of the building surely impressed the Davian. As the diplomats walked in the room, two power armored Davian stood guard outside and they would remain there during the meeting. The remaining two soldiers followed their officers into the room and stood there.
"We thank you for your hospitality miss governor." Commissar Trung slightly bowed as he and the Shiguran adjutant took a sit, meanwhile the winged SAI simply allowed itself to hover next to them.
After the others had taken seats, Sillna sat as well in the chair she was standing next to, which was accross the table from the Davians. She rested her arms on the table, clasping her hands together as she looked over at the guests with interest "So Commissar, please tell me about your people"
Commissar Trung considered Sillnas question then answered it with generalized details but not forgot to add some of his own words into it: "About government, the government of Divine Davia Empire is run by the Grand Imperial Council with several members, below them would be the Senate and lower there are rings of lower officials. Despite being titled as 'Divine Empire' we are not a theocracy. Besides, it must be said that we are rather militaristic but we do not actively seek conflict. Instead we prefer building alliances of friendly nations and maintaining trading arrangements as well as peaceful expansion. Also we respect all sapient life so oppression or slavery is not tolerated by our people, the empire ensure the decent life of its citizen yet everyone should work if they want to improve ourselves. The intolerance of slavery and oppression came from our own history. We were on the receiving end of slavery for 500 years then oppressed and used as meat shields by the other evils for another 200 years before we freed ourselves and made them pay the price. Hopefully the way of my people is not too strange to your people. Anyway our current status here is slightly differing than in the other sectors. Due to the ongoing 2nd Ancerious War as well as other problems in the other sectors, many of our activity here would be conduct by the Armed Forces with rather limited civilian present."
"That's for the brief. We're sending you a data about our history." The Commissar smiled while glanced at the hovering robot which began sending the data to the Nuclean: "And may I allow to ask about your great civilization Miss Sillna?"
As he spoke, Trung's words were recorded and analyzed by the building AI monitoring the meeting, taking note of various details which would be used later by Sillna to decide whether the Davians were a positive nation to have relations with. This process was then repeated for the data transmitted from the SAI, and then the two were compared and combined.
Sillna nodded at the Commissar's question "Of course. Our civilization is known as the Nuclean Ecumene, a utopian nation of enlightenment and progress. We seek peaceful coexistence with our fellow nations, and to stand against those that threaten us who hold disregard for life."
Trung nodded slightly: "It's seemed the philosophy of our nations won't be too different to the other. As I said we Davian also seek peaceful coexistence with the other and uphold life. That's why we are highly concern about the ongoing galactic war. According to what we know, the war is ravaging this galaxy, countless life has been lost and some faction had begun to use weapons of mass destruction like the Crucible."
"Yes indeed" Sillna nodded "The deployment of the Crucible is most concerning, and has indicated to us that Capitol, despite their grand speeches, does not care about means, nor do their allies it seems."
"We share your concern with you Miss Governor." Trung said: "While currently Davia remain a neutral power. We view this Crucible as major threat to sentient life in this galaxy, that's why we decided to lean more toward the AGA. So establishing diplomatic relation with AGA factions and providing support would be our first step for our joining of AGA cause."
Sillna smiled "I am glad we seem to see things the same way as we do. Another faction that is empathetic to our cause is always welcome. What kind of support for the AGA do your people have in mind, if I may ask"
"We are currently having several trade deals with some AGA's member like the Union of Worlds as well as Risallas Dominion, we are also having several join projects with the later. In the other hand we're making some contacts with a few other AGA members. For our support, currently we are beginning to provide various none-combat supports, goods and material for the AGA cause. We would also offer some of our shipyards and docks for AGA's ships to refit. However those would only be our first steps, we will soon donate more none-combat support, war material, information and combat-support or tech trading for the AGA's cause. Of course by doing so we want to have better relation with AGA's nations as well as support and protection because doing so may draw ire from the APP and those unfriendly with the AGA. I hope that will answer your question Governor Sillna."
"Yes that does make sense. Although I must say, at this rate, perhaps you should consider joining the AGA, since you seem rather intent on getting involved in the war in every way except direct conflict" Sillna replied
"You are right Miss Governor" The Davian commissar nodded slightly: "In fact we are seriously consider joining AGA directly. Our process to establish contact with several AGA factions would be the first step for our joining."
"Excellent, I am glad to hear that" Sillna replied, her smile growing somewhat larger from the cool friendly expression to one of gladness "Well from the information you have supplied us about the Davian civilization, we would be glad to start with a standard nonagression pact between our nations"
"It would be a good start Miss Sillna. We fully agree to enter non-aggression pact with your nation." Commissar Trung glanced at his adjutant who pulled out a data pad which upon activated showed up the necessary terms and conditions of a normal international non-aggression pact: "With your allowance honored Governor, I have the document ready for your viewing and approval."
Sillna took the data pad, reading the terms and conditions. Satisfied, she signed the document. "If you would forward a copy to us for record keeping, that would be most appreciated."
"Thank you Miss Sillna. The signing of the non-aggression pact would the first step of our deeper relation. I hereby declare the NAP between Divine Davia Empire and Nuclean Ecumene has full effect from now on. And we are sending you a copy as we speak." Trung said as the winged Davian SAI began to transfer the necessary data to the Nuclean.
"With the NAP in effect. I think we can now move to the other article. May I suggest about trade agreement between our nations." Trung politely asked: "And what type of trading will the Nuclean accept?"
The copy of the document was recieved and filed away automatically. Meanwhile Sillna nodded in response to Trung, using data submitted to her chip implants much like the analysis of the data given earlier had been "The Ecumene performs external trade almost exclusively for technology and information, as well as unique materials. We specialize in manufacturing of goods and raw materials for export. So it all depends on what you can offer, and what you want."
"Thank you Miss Governor. And before we begin with the trade agreement between our nations, If you don't mind." Commissar Trung spoke while his aid put a finely crafted box on the table, within it was a short rifle brandished with gold, jewels, emeralds and tortoiseshell: "This is a Golden Plasma Musket, It's our tradition to gift it for the new contact factions as our good will. You can use it as jewelry but it's still fully functional."
"Regarding about trading, we Davian can offer several kind of goods. Firstly, I must say we arrived at this galaxy not long ago so we're still in progress to build up our holding here as well as making several mining operations. Thus we can offer you raw material from our mining including those found deep in the crust and core of planets or asteroids in exchange of goods. In the other hand we can also trade our some of our unique foodstuffs with your nations if you feel interest with them."
"Secondly, regarding of unique material, we have Red Crystals." With a glance from the Commissar, the winged SAI put a data pad on the table which showed the schematic of a piece of Red Crystals and a piece of a Gel like material: "Red Crystal or ToThuum Crystal is our unique material which currently only found in our original galaxy. It has an incredibly dense and complex crystalline lattice structure and can be made to have almost no melting point, reflect particular wavelengths of light as well as being capable of dispersing heat over its entire surface. These traits make them particularly effective in resisting heat" Trung pointed at the Crystals before switching to the Gel like material: "Beside we are also willing to trade our Plastic Heat Gel which while simple can absorb very high heat as well as kinetic impact."
"Thirdly as you may now notice, we rely a lot on our plasma weapon technology, while I'm not sure if it's as advance as your technologies or not, our plasma weapons had served us well for several millennia. Should you feel interest with them then we're willing to provide you some of our RnD data in exchange of your technology. Or we can manufacture heavy plasma weapons for you."
"Beside we Davian also willing to trade our non-sentient artificial intelligent technology or NAI to be short should your nation is interested in AI technology."
"Regarding of information, we can provide your nation some information about several nations we had encountered but since we're rather new to this galaxy you may already have these information. Anyway we can work together about it."
Sillna took the box and opened it, holding the musket up and pointing it in a safe direction. She had never really been one for shooting, but definitely appreciated the craftmanship of the weapon. After inspecting it, she put it back in the box and closed it, setting the box to the side before turning her gaze back to Commissar Trung "Thank you, it is well made. I shall keep it in my office as a reminder of our meeting" She then turned her attention towards the schematic, as the AI once again sent data to her regarding the requirements of the Ecumene and giving suggestions for a possible deal. "What are these nations that you have encountered already besides our own?"
"Beside the Nuclean Ecumene, we also managed to make contact with several AGA powers which you probably already known like the Union, and Risallas Dominion, we are also making contact with RSC and IRS. For the other factions we have made contact with The Singers of the Void, the GAE, the System AI Empire and the Dectrose Empire. Talking about the Dectrose Empire..." Trung stopped for a moment: "We feel some concern about this nation because they possess an incredible scanning station which capable of scanning system from the other side of the galaxy while staying in the other side. And as we known, they violated RSC's space and the incident involved military action."
Sillna raised an eyebrow at the news about the scanning station "Long range scanning technology is standard for us. Is this scanning in some way special? And what of this violating RSC space?"
"Regarding this scanning station," Trung said as the SAI showed a holographic map of the galaxy which showed the position between the Davian's trade system and the scanning station. The position showed to the Nuclean regarding the location of the Dectrose's station won't be the exact location, instead it's a fairly large area of space and the trade system of Davia would be mark simply as a start system: "As you can see here. This scanning station stayed within this area at that side of the galaxy and it managed to scan one of our systems on this side. While we cannot calculate its scanning exactly our theory is this station seem to have unlimited range across this galaxy and capable of scanning the location and character of the system including its star and planets, it may also, according to our theory capable of finding out any large group of ships, large object or large space stations present in said system. With this system the owner can easily scout out any system across the galaxy without any risk thus provide the owner highly valuable intelligence information."
"Regarding the violation of Dectrose's empire again RSC's space. According to what we know. One Dectrose ship violated the no fly zone enacted by the RSC around Ural and conducted unknown scanning there. The combined RSC, Union and Annointed intercepted the ship, there were gun fire and the Dectrose ship was destroyed. That's all we known about the incident."
"This is concerning indeed, especially if they are already clashing with AGA-aligned forces" the Nuclean governor paused "I think that the information on the nations you've met, along with a sample of your crystals and gel, would be an acceptable trade for something. What is it that your nation would want as payment in return?"
"We are glad that our offers are acceptable. We can of course provide you these information and materials. Still may I ask what the Nuclean are willing to exchange?" The Davian commissar carefully asked.
"Well, we specialize in the production of raw materials and doing contract manufacturing. So really, it sort of depends on what you want" Sillna replied, taking information from the AI, whispered into her head.
Trung replied: "We're still in process to build up our holding here and if possible supply our nation. So we happen to need both raw materials. For the contract manufacturing I think we can also work together about it."
"Well simply send us a list of the materials you require, and plans for anything you want built, and we will create a shipment of them to repay you for the samples and information. However to be clear this would be a single shipment. Is there anything that you can provide on a continuing basis that will be of value?" Sillna replied.
"We'll send you the list of what we require Miss Governor." The Davian replied: "Regarding our trading we are willing to provide you both Red Crystals and Heat Gel If you feel interest with them."
"I think for now, what we have arranged is acceptable. We can always create more arrangements at a later date as new opportunities present themselves" Sillna replied "And on that note, I think that concludes all the business that I had on my agenda. Is there anything further that you wished to discuss?"
Commissar Trung smiled as he politely responded: "No thank you, Miss Governor. Beside I think I have bothered you enough and sadly I still have something else to do. So I think we can conclude our talk now, I hope this talk would open the way for our relation to go much further."
"It was hardly a bother meeting, in fact it was a pleasure meeting you" Sillna replied with a smile as she stood. "I look forward to our nations growing closer and hopefully working together in the near future"
Upon arriving, the Davian fleet began to actively scan the system while sending out AGA friendly contact codes and their own Davia codes so the owner of the system will know the fleet were friendly with the AGA's cause and thus won't be misidentify as hostile forces.
