Good welcome citizens, may Sa’Shanai’s Light shine upon you. It is my pleasure to bring to you his majesty King William. He stands outside the government bureau giving a speech on the new security and alliance he has lead our Great Kingdom of Trinovan into. . . .The image fades from the news caster to a massive crowd of people straining themselves to get a look at their king. A lone figure clad in golden armor standing above the rest and begins to talk. . . the transmission goes on, as Trinovan officers watch during a debrief.
“Can you imagine, only a few weeks ago we allied ourselves with all those nations, and now we are starting to pack up and leave this galaxy.”
“It’s can’t be helped, the king as recalled all of us back to the home galaxy, something big must be happening for everybody to be recalled.”
“It’s still seems shameful.”
“I agree, but it makes me worried for what reason we are being recalled.”
Meanwhile……
In solar orbit around the star in the Noct-Infernis system, a massive assault fleet lead by Dominis Alexius'u casts a deadly shadow over the worlds as shuttles from the Nuclean Ecumene and the Trinovan Empire jump into the system and dock with the the behemoth shadow that makes every other look small in comparison.
The two shuttles, having been expected, were given clearance to land within the main hangar bay. As the shuttles land and the delegates walk out they see an almost unending amount of small circles that line the walls and ceiling hanging there in bat-like masses.
Alexius'u along with a few other minor government officers greet the delegates from the coalition.
“Welcome aboard the Morten’ix, I’m Space Marshall Alexius’u of the Dominion assault fleet.” Dominis Alexius’u said with a slight bow before gesturing towards the three other figures behind him wearing scarlet robes with masks covering their faces.
“Greetings Space Marshall. I am Fleetmaster Kard” the Nuclean delegate responded.
The Trinovan delegate waited a moment for Kard to finish speaking, then responded “Hello Alexius’u, I am Admiral Michael”
Alexius’u bows to each, “I have been assigned the task of leading this fleet against the Eosian forces. If you will follow me to the war council chambers so we can begin to discuss our invasion plans.” he said gesturing to the arch way leading down an onyx colored corridor illuminated by Splen cylinders.
At the mention of fighting the Eos forces, Michael looked somewhat uncomfortable, but only slightly.
Alexius’u leads the group through the corridors until they reach metallic silver red colored doors, with Niko'um personal insignia engraved down the middle. They enter the sizeable room with an onyx marble table with red glyphs floating above the table. Alexius’u walks to the head of the conference table, he gestures for the delegates to take their seats. As the delegates take their seats, servants dressed in white silk cloth with their necks and wrist exposed walk in carrying platters of food and drinks set them down in the middle of the table before bow themselves out. The room darkens and the red glyphs illuminate the delegates faces and a holo star map of the Eosian space shows in detail. The glyphs turn to galactic basic and begins to show data streams. Alexius’u waves his hand over the table and the star map highlights the last system the Nucleans and Trinovans were in with the destruction of the Matterforge.
“It would seem that this “Great Eye” has been causing you quite a bit of trouble.” Alexius’u said as he watches the Nuclean delegates face.
“Yes indeed.” Kard replied “Perhaps you wish to try your luck against it with this space-stick we are sitting on”
Alexius gives a small laugh, “Perhaps, but before such time can come lets put a plan together before we run head on into a battle. Having seen the holo logs, the Eosian weakness seems to be that they are only truly effective at close ranges, and from the intel logs the Trinovans provided, their new weapon will be advantageous in battle at range.”
“Actually, we need to talk about that.” said Michael. “We are going to be leaving this galaxy and returning home. Therefor we will not be joining you in the war with Eos”
At this, Kard turned rapidly to look at Michael “But why would you do this? Especially when the Coalition was your people’s idea”
Alexius’u looks from both the Trinovan and Nuclean delegate a little shocked by Michael’s statement. He looks over to the government officers who were busy reading the glyphs as they were trying to find any communiques about this news. “Well this is news to me, why pull our factions together if you are going to bale out?!” Alexius’u looks at Michael puzzled by his response.
“Due to problems that have arisen in our home universe, we are unable to continue operations here. King William has ordered our space to be evacuated immediately. He says that both of your empires are welcome to visit, but this decision is not going to be reversed.” Michael said.
“Seem a bit much to send an Admiral to tell us of this news.” Alexius’u said with a chuckle.
“This is most disturbing.” remarked Kard “I suppose however that if we can’t dissuade you from this, then we shall have to bid you goodbye. The Overseer is certainly not going to be pleased with this news though”
“Indeed. Well I must return to assist in operations. Farewell” Michael said, before standing and skipping out of the room. He boarded his shuttle and zoomed out of the hanger, departing for Trinovan space.
After the Trinovan delegate left there were many questions still left unanswered and the two admirals were left to plan the invasion by them self and without the aid of the Trinovans they were left to rework the battle plans. During the meeting Space Marshal Alexius’u and Fleetmaster Kard had send messages back to their leaders with the news of the Trinovans leaving the galaxy.
Alexius’u looks over to the silver cladded creature, “Well out of how I saw things going with this war council meeting this was not what I foresaw.”
“Indeed” remarked Kard “This whole coalition was their idea. This seems rather...well gutless of them to pull out almost at the last moment like this”
“Yes, well lets conclude this meeting, there will be much uproar to deal with on both ends of our governments.” Alexius’u shakes his head, “The Archons won’t be too pleased to hear about this, I can already feel the arguments in the council chambers.” he said with a hollow laugh.
“Agreed” sighed Kard. He stood, nodding to Alexius’u, and strode out of the chamber, heading back to his shuttle. Once aboard, he gave the order to take off, and the shuttle zoomed out of the bay and jumped.
