Mirach System Union space:
The busting Mirach system was once again the site of another conference. This time the hosting of the Ancerious Galactic Alliance first official gathering since its founding. Set up to try and seek peace and co-operation between the various races of the galaxy the AGA now held its first conference to establish both itself and its agenda. Hargun stood overseeing the command room of the Wyvern class orbital station where it would be held. Seeming as the various factions attending were all allies of the Union and trusted Hargun had somewhat relaxed security, though there would be plenty around. The signal had been sent for the various reps to be escorted in via Union naval escort and then dock aboard the massive orbital. There the reps would be escorted to the command room and the conference be set in motion. He smiled "I hope this goes better than the last conference..." Hargun chuckled. Fleet Captain Sacule nodded "Well as long as people don’t pull guns or break peoples skulls all should be well" Hargun laughed "Indeed, anyway I shall be at the docks, make sure the rooms fully ready while I go greet our guests, I’m sure they will be here soon" He saluted Sacule and walked off towards the huge docking area of the orbital.
The vessel dropped out of the fold space and moved slowly into the system. "This is the Dominion vessel Redoubt, we are here for the alliance meeting." the comms officer transmitted as Miller stood on the bridge, looking out at the planet and its multitude of orbital installations. "Well Dmitri, I expect you to uphold the values of the Dominion at this meeting." she spoke sternly, not looking at him as the vessel awaited instructions.
Dmitri looked over to her "Of course ma'am" he spoke with a slight bow. He too looked out around the system, intrigued with the workings of the technology there. He looked at Miller again as she stared out of the bridge but otherwise remained silent.
The 7th legion, back in the thickness of their greenlane, their citadel terraforming a dead world into yet another Eden, found its extensive sensors and detection system arrays spotting the wide reaching communication sent by an ally of the 7th legion - The Union Of Worlds. The neatly packed information of the conference, it's purpose, and goals, came to the 7th legion's liking. This was a gathering they would be more than happy to send a representative - especially if it was hosted by a nation they respected. Unlike... The last gathering Seraphim Tremerz went to... Which was... But enough of that. The 7th legion citadel's consciousness - both a passive, and active psychic network comprising most of the citadel's psychers (which is most halcyons, and some humans, wood elves, some Zeons, and some misc species, etc.), quickly came to a consensus: Sending a representative was expected, and a task to undergo. And they would send Seraphim Tremerz - the 3rd in command of their fleet, one of the most powerful psychers of the legion, and a person of brilliant tactical and diplomatic sense. She would take her personal ship - the Spirit of Intuition, a 25 kilometres long battle carrier, but this time with only three sword ships. Seraphim Tremerz remained in the command tower within the Spirit Of Intuition's bowels - it's innards a veritable small city. The ship's weapons hidden away, the bright blue, transparent, odd "apparitions" usually noted on the ship melting away into tentacles like that of a jelly fish. "Greetings from the 7th legion. I'm Seraphim Tremerz, and I am here for the conference. If you would be so kind to provide this vessel with landing or docking coordinates. If too large, I can come with the use of a smaller ship."
The Carnaithian diplomatic ship 'Ascended glory' jumped into the Mirach system. It was a diplomatic ship of the white-and-blue colour scheme as always, but this time a modified Orion. The ship had pillars vertically extending from the type of its 'wings', and communications antennae protruding from the 'mandibles', the EMACCS between these had been removed, replaced with a small dock for shuttles and the like. The weapons and bridge had been modified as well, half-domes on the top and bottom of the centre hull, and the bridge now a long structure on the top of the top semi-circle. This ship had little armament, only CIWS and light missile systems, and instead boasted increased engine power. Aboard the 'Ascended glory' was High General Kate Varan, Solan Reik's current replacement in Ancerious. The ship began to transmit IFF's and requests to enter the space in the system. Kate was on the observation deck when one of her assistants came in. "Ms. Varan, we have arrived in the Mirach system, ple-"
"First, I told you to refer to me as 'Kate', secondly, I can see we've exited jump space. I've done this before." She said snappily, she didn't like being referred to "Ms. Varan", it reminded her to much of her rich family, and that was a life of luxury... a life she loathed. Aboard the ship's bridge, men clicked away at holographic and glass panels, beginning the cruise to the system's orbit. Some of the men looked on at the station with stress, they had crewed the Prowler that brought Reik here from the battlefields against the IE. The ship made its way to the station.
The SNS September Rain exited the Cosmic Portal from the superluminal realm, materialising into real space in a flash of brilliant pink cosmic lightning. She was a normal Crusader-class cruiser, and arrived in the Union system escorted by a small security detail made up of a Sovereign-class battleship, a Temujin destroyer and a Tomahawk-class carrier. The Union were their allies and certainly their system would be well-guarded, but ADCOM thought they would not take any chances.
“We have arrived, sir, all ships reporting in tip-top shape,” the engineering officer reported. The Captain of September Rain recovered and brought up his chair interfaces, accessing the scanners and downloading data on the Union system and the orbital station where the conference would be held.
“This is the SNS September Rain, we are here for the conference to represent the Interstellar Republic of Singapore. Tell us what to do, over,” announced the Captain as he opened up a com-link with the presiding Union authority. He then signalled to the communications officer.
“Send a ping to the diplomat and her detail to get prepped up,”
“Yes Sir!”
The SNS September slowly broke off from the fleet, and approached the station as the Union escort came and welcomed the party.
Above the Sub-capital of the Alterean Dominion world of Alteren a deep space signal from the Union is revived and transmitted invention to the Ancerious Galactic Alliance conference. The information is relied aboard the Flagship Aiurdante to the admiral's personal quarters.
"Beep" . . ." Beep" . . . "Beep"
Niko'um rolls over in the bed to find the sound of the alarm. He groped around in the dark until he find comm link.
"Kel'u this better be good, I was in my happy place" Niko'um said a little annoyed he was woken up after a three cycle shift.
"We just got a message from Union sir, seems they are asking us to join them along with other delegates at a conference.
I sent the info to your data wall." Relied Kel'u
"Thanks, and Kel'u unless it's something of really important and I'm the only that can help, please do wake me again." Niko'um said as we got of the bed and walked over the kitchen and let the data wall read the information off for him."
As Niko'um is sitting down to his Ciburn stew Katie walks in
"When did you last go through your Sonmatis?" Katie asks as he sits down and pours herself some stew
Niko'um loops over the holopad as the message finished giving Katie a look. Katie got the message and they talked about the going ons of the Dominion and how things were progressing until Tyal enter the room and sat down with them.
"Hey Niko, are we on later. . . oh Katie. Well since you're both here I don't have to repeat myself. . . " Tyal was saying before he was cut off by Niko
"Yes Tyal we will be there, but we were just talking about who to send to this Ancerious Galactic Alliance conference."
"Oh ya, I looked that over, I figured you would just send Ro'u since all the other Archons will be busy with other events."
"Oh. . . well I guess you had the same idea then, have some Ciburn stew." Niko'um gestures to the pot in the middle as Tyal takes a bowl and dishs himself some stew.
Ro'u walks in the bridge and stands next to Dominis-Alexius’u aboard his Flagship Ignistilion as the ship along with four escorts ships destroy class follow along behind as they exit jump on the outer edge of the system. Dominis Alexius opens a channel to the Union space station.
"This is Dominis Alexius of the Alterean Dominion defence fleet admiral, here to transport the Archon Ro'u for this Conference. If you could please sent us a docking vector for a transport ship." Alexius says as Ro'u nods and heads toward the hangar bay where she meets up with her Shadow and two royal guards.
The sound of energized humming runs through the hull of the Universe Gate in high orbit above New Azirah, the Trinovan capital in Ancerious. The blue energy of the interdimensional wormhole begins to crackle and spread across the opening, eventually erupting in a burst of blue light as the wormhole opens completely. Out of the swirling disk of blue light in the centre of the massive ring-shaped gate ship, a jet-black shape begins emerging. The first part of it resembles the head of a black shark, bearing coloured lines that make intricate designs across the black, metallic surface. As the body of the starship continues to emerge, a pair of curved side pontoons appears, leading back into a semi-circular body. Behind that, the main body of the vessel slips from the wormhole, another semi-circle curving around behind it, and each side of the semi-circle bearing a set of massive mechanical tentacles. The entire ship is of jet-black and dark grey, with dozens of needle-thin lines of bright colour running across its surface to form intricate symbols and designs. The underside of the ship's massive curved shells is abuzz with energy pulses, most of the ship's weaponry being on the underside. The enormous vessel is nearly five miles long, almost dwarfing the portal through which it came. Such a craft would not usually be seen among the ranks of Trinova... which is exactly what King William had intended when creating the design of his personal flagship, the Sova Koll II. The imposing vessel was made as a projection of Trinovan power, designed to be the vanguard of the starfleet, and King William's personal ship. "All systems, report," The young king says from the bridge of the vessel. "All systems have blue light readings, sir," The deck officer says. "Excellent, set course for the Union of Worlds capital. Our first order of business is with them," King William says. The massive tentacles on the rear of his ship swing to the side, lighting up with their micro-propulsion systems to turn the ship precisely, aiming directly for the planet in question. "Engage wormhole drive on my mark," William orders. The front of the ship begins to hum and glow with blue energy as the wormhole drive powers up. "Wormhole at full power, standing by," The pilot says. "Engage," William orders. The massive ship lurches forward into the blue mass of energy in front of it, warping its appearance as it slips into the wormhole. Several hours pass, the crew of the Sova Kol II patiently biding their time. At last the swirling light in front of the ship fades, and everyone on the bridge looks up to see the planet ahead. There are Union ships in the system, as well as craft from half a dozen other races, most of them known to Trinova as allies. "Send them a message... Trinova has arrived," King William says.
Ten AU's distance from the Mirach system star, a Nuclean supercruiser Radiant Eclipse jumped into existence, and broadcasted a message to the Union orbital station "This is Fleemaster Serexx of the Nuclean Ecumene. I am here for the conference. Please transmit docking locations" The vessel then performed a micro jump to a position two thousand miles away from the station and began to approach via sublight.
Hargun watched the sensors as the various factions arrived, as they did so Union units at various points around the system linked up with the various allied reps, escorting them in and making sure no trade traffic through Mirach got in the way “This is Union system command you are all free to dock with the Command Orbital, there security will await for scans. You may bring two aides with you along with your main rep, ships weapons must be powered down at all times. We are all friends here people, let’s bring peace” Came the message broadcasted to the various reps ships. The command orbital was huge, more than able to accommodate the various ships inside of its huge towering form, dwarfing even the super dreadnought in system its weapon systems were not armed and lots of civilian traffic came two and from the station. “Docking co-ordinates have been assigned, you are free to dock”
Hargun made his way to the docking and security area, he was to await the reps and guide them to the conference chambers, as well as greet them at the security checkpoints. A friendly face always helped.
Seraphim Tremerz's flagship, the Spirit Of Intuition Leviathan, remained at a distance, while a small, swordship, stripped down of all attack military gear, came from the SOIL's innards, sliding and sailing smoothly from below the huge ship - the swordship a mere 100 meters battle frigate model, this one sensor and communication specialised.
It sailed forth at great speeds towards the station, following the sent docking and travel vectors.
Seraphim Tremerz was aboard the small ship, alone, inside the command bridge, interfacing with the ship mentally, it sailing ever so smoothly, and finally docking upon the Union station.
The Radiant Eclipse smoothly decelerated to a stop near two of the wings on the top of the station, effectively occupying that area by itself. Its weapons remained cold but it kept its shields raised. Onboard, Serexx boarded a shuttle, which zoomed out of one of the launch bays and over to the indicated hanger aboard the Union station.
As Ro'u sat down an incoming message from Union outlines the docking vectors and what will be allowed. She turns to the Royal guard on the left and orders him to stay aboard ship. Her shadow takes a sit and the engines of the transport come to life as door close and the transport speeds though the hanger bay out towards the Station while the Ignistilion remains in its position a few hundred kilometres from the Station out of the way of the trade traffic. The Transport speeds along towards the provided area for the ship to dock.
Aboard the Ignistilion Dominis-Alexius opens a sub jump signal back to the homeworld to report on the situation.
The Dominion Transport land within the Hanger bay of the Station. Ro'u stands up and disarms any weapons that will be confiscated for the duration of the conference. She orders the other two to do the same. The door of the transport opens and the ramp extends down Ro'u takes the lead followed behind her Shadow and her Royal guard. Ro'u watches the new environment closely to ready herself for anything. Her light Templar robes offer more than enough protection. Her shadow is armour is hide behind a black cloak and his face was behind a mask. The guard followed behind in his battle armour
The 'Ascended Glory' made its way towards the orbital, it's hull turning and making adjustments to its angling, vector, and speed as to make an accurate stop not far from the orbital, about five or so miles away. It was then that a CIGO Lynx-pattern prowler dislodged from the hangar bay that replaced the basic Orion IV's lower bridge and armament section. The Lynx-pattern was about 350 feet long, about the average size of planetary naval ships. It was armed, but mostly with just CIWS. It wasn't even a stereotypical prowler... in other words, the sleek black, hard-to-detect ships that ranged from 50 to 475 feet long, every model having capabilities of jumping on their own and supporting its crew for months. This Lynx-pattern, however, was in the white-and-blue diplomatic colour scheme, the hull redesigned to be aesthetic and friendly, and sported no name, instead a simple set of the numbers '37', in both Carnaithian and basic numerals. It docked on an umbilical of the Union platform, and stabilized atmospheres before opening its doors, with Kate Varan, a guard, and an aide behind them.
Serexx marched down the ramp of the shuttle into the hanger bay on the station. He was not unarmed, apart from his powerarmor, which shone in the station lighting. As he walked away from the shuttle, his helmet dematerialized.
Meanwhile, the crew onboard the Radiant Eclipse monitored the data feed from his suit, and observed the various vessels entering the Union system.
The 'Redoubt' held its position in space as Miller and Dimitri moved to the hangar bay and aboard their shuttle. The small vessel launched and sped towards the coordinates designated by Union control as they closed with the hangar and landed. "If anything goes awry you are to stay close to me." Miller spoke coldly as they disembarked into the hangar.
The shuttle, white and seemingly harmless in appearance, left the September Rain and traversed the void of the vast distances of space with its sub-light drives, leaving behind the small Fleet as it made its way towards the orbitals station. Nearer there, other nations’ shuttles were also in sight and all of them docked at their respective bays as a small Union escort welcomed them in. The shuttle docked, and passengers disembarked. Around five Marines, armed with assault rifles and one of them with a machine gun, marched out of the shuttle in an arrowhead formation, covering the diplomat behind them.
Karen raised her hand and signalled her Marines to put down their weapons. The Marines let their slinged rifles drop to their sides and raised their hands to show that they are disarmed. She saluted the Union soldiers there, and the Marines did the same.
“Major, your Marines are to wait here. I do not need armed jarheads screwing up my day,”
“Woah, lady, no need to PMS, after all ‘diplomat’ right? You gotta remain cool and calm…whatever that shit is,” retorted the Major.
“Yeah right…easy for you to say, after all, that describes your tool last night doesn’t it?”
The Marines broke off their stoic demeanour and snickered at their commander.
“Hey lady that-“
“If you can’t even pull off a one night stand commander, I suggest you shut it and listen to my orders.”
“Y-Y-Yes, ma’am…” stammered the embarrassed Major. Karen then walked off to the conference room with the other diplomats.
As the various reps shuttles and transports entered the hangars a detachment of Union marines stood with holstered weapons saluting as the reps made their way down into the assembly area. It was a monumentally large space, all around them the titanic size of the hangar was apparent, the form of a Dart class above them undergoing some sort of testing, the 4km bulk easily fitting within the hangar bay. Just by the stairs to a higher hangar level the voice of Hargun could be heard as he approached the group, his blue and yellow Admirals uniform neatly pressed and medals showing. He saluted and smiled “Greetings allies of the Union of Worlds and members of the AGA, I welcome you to Mirach the Capital of the Union here in Ancerious. Today I hope will mark the beginning of a saga of peace in the galaxy, it is up to us to fight back the horrors at our door and co-operate to build a brighter future. In a moment I will take you to the conference chambers but… first I must ask you to submit to scanning. Weapons are not permitted inside the conference chamber… not after last time. The scan is not invasive, do not worry” Hargun nodded as the marines came forward with holo scanners waiting for the first of the reps to step forward.
