((Please note that this post will be merged to a large sheet, once the rest of the ship specs are done, but this needed to be posted now._
Salvation-Class Dreadnought:
Length: The Salvation-Class has a total diameter of 30 kilometers
Overview/History:
The Salvation-Class was made was the Gaferian heavy hitter, and planetary invasion craft. It has a wide compliment of armaments, and enough storage to supply an entire planetary invasion. They are fairly rare due to the cost, and time required to build one. The Salvation-Class serves as the Gaferius' primary command, and carrier ship as well.
Weapon Systems:
The Salvation-Class is equipped with thousands of fixed weapons. A compliment of plasma cannons, railguns, and mass-drivers make the majority of each weapon-emplacement. With cilos for a wide variety of missiles. One weapon emplacement on the Salvation-Class includes 200 plasma cannons, 1000 railguns, 300 mass-drivers, and 100 missile cilo's. Along with 500 point-defense emplacements along said weapon emplacement.
Passive Defenses:
The Salvation-Class like most Gaferius ships utilizes a mix of gravity based, and plasma based shielding. The provide a great deal of defense for the ships, but they have their weaknesses, and those weaknesses are shown on the Salvation-Class due to it's sheer size. This is attempted to get around with much more point-defense than the average Gaferius ship has, but it only does so much.
Active Defenses:
Point Defense, and lots of it. Though it is plasma based. Littering the ship is thousands, maybe even millions of small blue orbs about the size of a small house. These shoot high-rate of fire plasma based projectiles at incoming projectiles.
Power Generation:
The Salvation-Class runs on a mix of Fission, and Fusion like almost all other Gaferius ships, but it has much more generators than the average Gaferius Ship. Totalling 18 fusion reactors, with 4 fission reactors for each fusion. Both as auxiliary power, and to start said fusion rectors up.
Electronic Capabilities:
The Salvation-Class like every other Gaferius ship, and facility uses DNA based computing to store vast amounts of information, with it all hard wired to other systems in the ship. The only exception to this being it's communication system. Which uses an entirely isolated standardized quantum computing system for easier communication, and a safeguard from malware infecting the ship. The Salvation-Class is also the only Gaferius ship with a extensive jamming array meant to confuse, and overwhelm every possible way it can. Gravity jamming, EM jamming, Communications, magnetic field. It is meant to obscure the Salvation-Class at all costs. While it may seem strange for a Dreadnought to cover such a large array of jamming technology instead of a smaller craft, this jamming is intended for the Salvation-Class's primary function. Mass planetary invasion, swoop in engage it's stealth systems, and begin full-spectrum jamming, proceed to target planet, mass-drop ground units on pass, and then engage systems to retreat.
Stealth Capabilities:
Like every other Gaferius ship from fighter, to dreadnought the Salvation-Class carriers a relatively simple cloaking mechanism. It's hull is littered with millions of tiny bristles, that can bend to obscure it. Bended one way it reflects light, bended another it does not. It is a very simple system, that requires both it's engines, and weapon emplacements to be retracted. This combined with Gaferius ships several layers of lead plating, and lead-alloys to block the signatures from deeper in the ship provide it adequate stealth in the right situation, but rarely used in any actual combat due to the sheer impracticality of it.
Utility Capabilities:
The Salvation-Class is as much factory, as ship. While most Gaferius ships sport most of it being solid armor, the Salvation-Class sacrifices this for a labyrinth of factories, and storage areas. The Salvation-Class is a mobile factory, as much as it is a Dreadnought. These factories are meant to produce Gaferius ground units on a massive scale, but can be easily repurposed to many other things. That along with on-board system to quickly assemble on the fly units, of lower quality for more specialty purposes.
Troop Complement:
The Salvation-Class is a spherical ship with an extreme amount of volume. It's primary purpose is mass-scale ground invasion, and it lives up to that purpose. With a standard compliment of nearly 3 trillion units, with more capable of being manufactured with time.
Crew:
The Salvation-Class sports a crew of 9. Helm-Operator, Pilot, COMMs-Officer, Foundry-Commander, 2 gunnery officers, Scanner, Slave Ship Commander, and the Captain/commander of the vessel. The rest of the ship is entirely automated.
Attack Craft:
The Salvation-Class doubles as a fighter carrier, along with a mobile refuel/repair ship. So it carriers a mass of Evanstar-Class Fighter Escorts, and Celes-Class Fighters. Totalling up to 300,000 Evanstar-Class, and nearly a million Celes-Class.
Speed and Engines:
Due to it being spherical, and with the lack of organics on board the Salvation-Class can make maneuvers that would shatter most ships, and turn most biological beings into paste. While it is still a dreadnought, the Salvation-Class is incredible nippy, and maneuverable for a ship of it's size. It uses fairly standard plasma-based ion drives, and a simple Alcubierre drive for FTL travel.
