The large station hung above Tarn IV, keeping watch over the system and servicing the home fleet who were very much on war footing. Count Arkus looked out of the viewport at the Imperious, sitting in space nearby in all its glory.
Arkus glanced over the prepared meeting room, giving it a final check. Seats had been laid out for his guests, with datapads and glasses for water at each spot also. Preparations seemed finalised as far as he was concerned and thus he sent the message his allies had been awaiting. The encrypted signal sent he exited the room and headed down the station corridor towards Ambers temporary quarters. "Ready?" he questioned as he opened the door.
“Yes.” Amber stood from the bed and walked out of the room. She wore her typical black and red dress, and a necklace hung from her neck. The silver cow skull glimmered in the light of the hallway lights as she walked.
Amira Astarte had, much to the protest of her loyal priestesses, decided she would attend this meeting personally. It was somewhat exciting to the young princess to be forging bonds so soon after entering this galaxy, and for a worthwhile purpose. Boarding the Royal Super Dreadnought she settled on the lavish plinth created for her, and waited for them to depart. The large vessel left its moorings with a small escort and jumped to the coordinates provided in the encrypted transmission, knowing her sisters would not be far behind.
She was momentarily taken aback as they entered the bustling capital of the Vaanitas. "So many vessels, it is like home." Astarte spoke as she watched the fleets organising. She cleared her throat and opened a channel. "This is Amira Astarte Thema of Ars Safeaa. I have answered your request Count Arkus. Provide my vessel with docking coordinates and we shall begin this maiden meeting." she spoke with a regal authority that calmed and emboldened her crew.
Princess Ishtar did much the same in the Salnuwatir capital. Boarding the Royal Anaconda class, she commanded her vessel to proceed to the meeting.
Exiting FTL with a small escort she glanced around unimpressed by their new ally. "I have answered your call Vaanitas. I am Princess Ishtar of the Salnuwatir Ascendancy." She spoke with regality but a hint of disinterest. "We will proceed to dock and begin this meeting."
Emira Amaani Shahan and her twin brother Emir Sarbara Shahan boarded their personal Royal Anaconda Class Super Dreadnought.
After a journey in FTL they exited amongst their sisters with their own small escort of ships. Amaani looked around excitedly whilst Sarbara was more focused on the task at hand. “To the Vaanitas commander, I am Emir Sarbara and we have answered your request, we will now begin docking so we may proceed with this meeting” He spoke with a stern tone.
The Cricaen escorts gathered whilst they awaited for the final ship to join them. Against the advice of her parliament Queen Kader VI had decided to go and meet the Vaanitas and these other members of A.U.R.A herself as they intrigued her. She boarded her personal Super Dreadnought with her royal guards and Admiral William Edwards who she was taking as an advisor seeing as he was the first Cricaen to meet with the Vaanitas.
The ships made the short jump into Vaanitas territory, most the crew on the ships were still nervous, this treaty amongst the two nations still fresh and one wrong move could put them next on the hit list after the DDE. Edwards looked out at the Silquami ships before nodding to a comms officer, “Count Arkus, this is Admiral William Edwards of the Cricaen Kingdom we are docking with the station now and will be attending this meeting very shortly” He spoke over a quick transmission as the super dreadnought moved forward and began docking.
Arkus listened to the transmission. “Welcome to Tarn IV my new allies. Aides of mine will bring you to the meeting room once you disembark and we can get this conference underway.” He responded to all of them as he looked out at the bustling system through a viewport in the meeting room.
Waiting in each docking bay was a well dressed aide who led each delegation up to the meeting room.
Astarte's procession, herself and a small group of priestesses and guards, followed the Vaanitas aide to the meeting room. They drew some looks as they passed by those going about their business and one of the Vaanitas soldiers tripped over a guards tail nearly sparking an incident.
Finally they arrived at the meeting room and Astarte gave the man she assumed to be Arkus, the rooms only other occupant being a young girl, a smile. "It is good to finally meet you Count Arkus." she spoke, slightly dragging out the s at the end of his name. She saw a plinth labelled Ars Safeaa and took her place at the table as her sisters arrived.
Ishtar's procession was next to enter. Her group was smaller than Astarte's, only her and a priestess. They followed the aide in silence until they reached the room. "Honoured sister." she spoke, bowing her head to Astarte. "Count Arkus I assume?" she asked the man stood by the window. She took her place on special plinth who's top an ever so shallow pool and awaited the beginnings of the talks.
The Emir and Emira disembarked their ship followed by a small procession of guards, they looked at the aide and followed him to the meeting room, Amaani being careful of her tail but was still oblivious to some of her surroundings. They arrived at the meeting hall where their sisters were waiting already, “I assume you must be Count Arkus” Sarbara spoke looking at the man before they found the plinth marks for the Suerarib Emirate and they both took their position at the table among their sisters.
The Cricaen delegates made their way off the ship. The Queen flanked by her royal guard and Edwards. They met with the aide that was waiting for them in the dock and then proceeded to follow him to the meeting room. They arrived at the room and headed in the Queen looking at the Silquami with interest as she sat down “Count Arkus, good to see you again” Edwards spoke as he stood beside his Queen.
Amber sat at her seat and watched as the other delegates arrived. She looked quizzically to the snake-like people who came in. Amber reached into her dress and pulled out a crystalline object. She placed the crystal on the table and pressed a section of it. The object began to glow and a second person appeared beside Amber.
”I am Raven, and the one before you is Amber.” Raven said. Amber waved her hand and gave a small smile. ”Count Arkus, shall we begin this meeting?” She asked, turning to him.
Arkus turned around with something akin to a welcoming smile. "It is good to have us all in once place finally." he began, looking around at the others. "A.U.R.A members, Ancient Ones. I thank you for meeting with me today. Whilst this meeting is far from what I wanted to begin our alliance with, i feel it is however necessary to address the Davian threat." he spoke, his smile fading to concern.
"They have violated our territory. They have drawn weapons on us. They have lied, slandered, and grovelled to the galaxy at large, claiming they are the innocents and we are the aggressors. Every shot fired at the Davians has been justified. And it is not only we who have suffered from the Davian scum. Miss Raven, tell us of the Davians transgressions on a galactic scale" he concluded, looking towards her.
”Yes, recently a trial took place for an incident being labeled the “Vestahl Massacre”. In this incident the Davians launched a barrage of missiles that killed approximately 20,000 friendly troops. This was followed up by the Davians unwilling to pay full reparations to the TDA, and if what we heard at the trial is correct, this wasn’t the first time the Davians have killed friendly forces.” Raven said with disgust.
"This is highly troubling." Astarte frowned. They had been cautious about the concept of going to war in this strange land, but this new evidence convinced her that their cause was true. "I pledge Ars Safeaa and her assets to this conflict. May these Davian cowards and murderers be purged in the name of Sek" she spoke rather heatedly. "In the name of Sek." the priestesses echoed.
A low hiss escaped Ishtar at this news. She was the most zealous of her sisters and this news that their foe had not only wronged their ally but many others caused her rage. "In light of this you can expect the full support of the Salnuwatir Ascendency. Make Akk's mercy be swift upon them." She hissed.
"That it is Astarte" Sarbara spoke with a slight frown. "From all the information that has been presented, these Davians have presented themselves to be cowards and evil" Amaani spoke. Sarbara nodded in agreement with his sister "The forces of the Suerarib Emirate pledge forces to support you, may Sekis's light purge them from this world" Sarbara spoke with a slight hiss in some of his words.
"I have heard a lot of information about the Davians from all my advisors, my Generals, My Admirals and even the Air Marshals. My parliament is split on war, but it is too late the Cricaen Kingdom is already at war with these cowards" Elizabeth spoke with an authoritative tone. "Count Arkus, you can rely on the Cricaen Kingdom to support this endeavour" Edwards added.
Arkus paused and smirked before nodding. "Excellent then my allies. Shall we go to war?" he queried.
Arkus glanced over the prepared meeting room, giving it a final check. Seats had been laid out for his guests, with datapads and glasses for water at each spot also. Preparations seemed finalised as far as he was concerned and thus he sent the message his allies had been awaiting.
