While those in the Dectrose Empire watched the proceedings of the Hearing involving the Davians in their ill-fated assistance of the Vehstahl Commonwealth with mixed emotions, those of disgust, shock or anger, the Dectrothian Network had seen enough to petition an increase in funding, in order to legally change their news corporation to serve the galactic audience. After some time, as well as sending the request back through the Warlock Wormhole, the request was accepted, and the newly created Dectrothian Galactic Network was born into the light of a galaxy at war with itself. The churning and angered occupants where embroiled with each other, and the core principles of how the DGN would operate would have to shift accordingly.
Firstly, Reporters sent into active combat zones would need full permission from the government of those petitioned to be able to be integrated into the battles, and waivers would need to be signed, stating that if a DGN War Correspondent was killed in action, that the parties involved would not be held accountable. Though it would be made clear that the correspondent should never be the target of focused aggression or attack. This can be done publicly, in order to sate the curiosity of those involved, but that would likely only receive light attention, as nearly all news agencies would be focused on the fighting.
The second focus would be that of the home front, how the civilians think of the war, what those in power are doing to protect their civilian populations and what can be done in the future to reduce civilian casualties. These are the stories that the Ancnet seemingly lacked, and that with the right amount of exposure, the civilians' stories can help try to save more lives.
Lastly, they would announce that they are completely neutral, and do not reflect any of the ideas or opinions of the Dectrose Empire, and they simply wish to provide a story and help those without a voice speak up in the tide of galactic politics. And while there would be hundreds of stories about Union, or Capitol, or the major players, those that are on the sidelines, or play a minor role in comparison would help to add gravity to the weight of the war raging in Ancerious, and perhaps one of their stories would help end the conflict. It was hope, a small area of grey, in a galaxy dominated by black and white views.

This ideology wasn't shared by some of the other denizens entering the Ancerious Galaxy via the Warlock Wormhole. Some of the populace simply pursued other things in their lives, and Orochi was among them. Standing around 5'8", roughly 130lbs, Orochi Takeshi wasn't physically imposing, even for a mantis-like Alhayan, though his skills in mercenary work where known in the dregs of society that avoided him as if he carried some painful illness.
His eyes shifted to look out of the display on the wall, Trudchen's major city glinting like a gilded fruit. With Kaikoma destroyed, a major source of business for mercenaries had vanished with the planet, as well as a large majority of the mercenaries themselves. But where business was now needed, it payed well. Stepping off of the passenger ship, he made his way to a local used ship dealer, and after perusing the assembled ships in their small docks, he had chosen a retired Dectrothian Customs and Immigration ship.
The ship had been in the records as the Vigilant-Class Escort Frigate "Observance", a relic from the previous cold war that had existed between the Dectrose and Meralis some time ago, but the systems could be gutted, refitted, replaced and whatever else by the local workers in the area, and crew would likely be easy to come by after Kaikoma and the inability of the Dectrose Empire to strike back. No, there would be no shortage of men that where resentful enough to do the work. And so, his journey in Ancerious had begun.
